The reason we even have a Constitution is because of our 2nd admendment. And why do you think we have never been invaded. We will never be destroyed by the outside but but by the inside.
We the people, for the people and By The People.
What part of that don't you understand?

Go Sarah Go! The beautiful and patriotic American woman leader Sarah represent the true American spirit and the quest of the American people less the liberal Marxists to freedom and right to own guns for self protection.
Sarah Palin is right to go after the African islamic dictator of America who is known as the king of deceitful liberalism and who seek to undermine the American constitution, defeat our own US troops by radical islamic terrorist regimes and oppress the American people with taxes and more taxes.
Go Sarah Go! The American people love you and believe in your true love to the American dream that is dead under Obama.
Sarah said she would not support blindly the GOP 'clowns' in congress that serve their own interest for re-election for life by betraying the interests of the American people.

Gun fearing dems? There are more veterans who are democrats in Congress than republicans. Case in point, the last Prez and VP....one went to the front of the line in the national guard and failed to show up for 30 days and one got 5 deferrents to keep out of war...you know, the big mouth always advising President Obama on how to do what he and Bush failed to do?

that was to one of the gun fanatics. do you have any suggestions of how to fix the stuff you complain about? I am more or less in agreement with you, but these guys are so powerful, and they only have to buy one or two Democrats or independents, like Lieberman and Nelson, and they have prevented reform in theSenate. I am watching the financial services committee bills, and banking committee bill in the Seante, and wondering what the changes are - financial interests want to play speculation games all over again, with taxpayer guarantees. do you see the McClatchy press article recently - yesterday or day before - about the way Gokdman Sachs fleeced people with a big ponzi scheme, international investments they knew were no good. really detailed info. why not on topix, I wonder?

Bravo for you! I see that evan Bayh is up for re-election, and of course the new Democrats from Indiana will be targeted by the GOP for some nasty smears. I knew Birch Bayh, and saw how he got trashed and defeated by that idiot Quayle I think, and can understand how Indiana Democrats need to be moderates. My favorite was the great Lee Hamilton, and he is still doing wonderful things in the think tank world. John Brademus was another great one from Indiana. Vance Hartke was a bit weird, however! I like Lugar in general, but can't find enough in specific to approve of - it is like he is a gentleman in style, and on some foreign policy matters, but not brave at all on substance, trying to keep his head down and not get called a rINO and be attacked by that slimy Limbaugh-lite-fool Pence, I bet.

Ed Burke - I like it that you use the name of an honorable conservative to debunk the dishonorable right-wing greedy-guts who try to steal the description conservative. I think there may be many Republicans and traditional conservatives who are uninformed, or dumb, or just plain uninterested in knowing much about politics, because of having other interests - family, football, their own jobs, etc. who is going to wake them up?

I think it will be the demagogues, who try to get as many as possible all stirred up about some stupid wedge issue - gay marriage in Iowa, due to our Supreme court decision.

Quayle was Daddy Bush's VP...and booed everytime he came home to Indy. Birch Bayh stepped down from office when his wife got cancer. Evan is a republican taking up a democrat billet. He'll be defeated by Hockstedder, whom I'm voting for just to Bayh our and get a real democrat in that slot.

Pence is self-serving and in it for him. He's the Limbaugh of the republicans, for sure, and won't make a move without his republican made evangelical group here in Anderson.

Hamilton is a good and decent and honest man with intelligence that makes a deceptive opinion of Hoosier in general.

Lugar serves people who make over $80,000/year...he doesn't care about anyone else. He's in it for himself. His integrity extends to only as far as who his corporate employer is at the time. He worked on shafting family run farms with Reagan..then with Daddy Bush and Junior on the housing boon.

I'm originally a Hawkeye....and remember a good man in Harkin, but not sure he's that anymore.

The republican party is split and splintered and fractured. WEdge issues may serve them well as they try to get their particular brand of redone republicanism into the party, but I don't think they will succeed in making wedge issues a huge part of the national elections anymore.
