Is Michael Cera the teenage Gary Coleman?

Remember Gary Coleman? Little Arnold from Different Strokes? The little kid who, like Peter Pan, always stayed the same age because of a kidney disease, and even now in his 40s, could pass off as a kid with some make-up? Well, I have been wondering - is Michael Cera the teenage Gary Coleman? I am a big fan of Michael Cera.

The Diamondback

First century breakdown

Year One, the latest farce by Harold Ramis , is a tremendous waste. For one, Ramis - when filming his tale of two cavemen, Zed and Oh , searching for their enslaved lovers in the Biblical Middle East - could easily shoot his actors from the waist down and not lose an ounce of meaning.

Movie review: A Biblical bromance with 'Year One'

Judd Apatow didn't coin the term "bromance," but he might as well have. Nor did he write or direct "Year One," the new comedy starring Jack Black and Michael Cera, but the comedy auteur's "brotherly" template definitely laid the groundwork.

For great diners, clubs and shabby chic shops, head for Manhattan's Lower East Side

By Anne McElvoy FOR MY pound, the best New York songwriter is Steve Merritt, who sings: "I'm the ugliest boy/on the Lower East Side." Merritt started my fascination with that shambolic, fast-changing part of the city, between the Bowery and the "alphabet" streets towards the old docks.

Live: The Harlem Shakes' Avant-Twee Utopia

The knock -- OK, one of the knocks -- on Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist is its portrayal of the Lower East Side as a relentlessly precocious, shiny, happy fantasy-land where beautiful people prance about listening to Bishop Allen and saying impossibly witty things and finding themselves and whatnot.
