Keanu Reeves and director Roland Emmerich are teaming up to executive produce a new sci-fi series called New Angeles that Slingshot Global Media will produce and distribute. There's no word yet on whether Reeves will be acting in the series, but Emmerich will direct the pilot himself so we can expect it to look and feel pretty big.

Report: Volusia candidates 'should have known' donations were illegal

The local political candidates who got free bus-bench advertising in the 2012 elections might not have known the campaign contributions were illegal, but they should have under state law, according to a final report in the Volusia County Council's investigation of a nagging scandal known as “the Waverly matter.” Released Wednesday before its presentation to the council Thursday, the 20-page report from investigator Jon Kaney also found Volusia County Councilman Josh Wagner intervened on Waverly Media's behalf in a pending county contract proposal - a point Wagner has disputed.
