For the first quarter or third of the season, the White Sox were going nowhere. Then Podsednik returned and played a large part in reviving this dead team. Other than his commiting several defensive misques, Scott deserves much better treatment than previously from WS management. If he isn't brought back next year, I'm changing my lifetime (Chicago base) allegiance from the White Sox to the Cubs.
I've always liked Scott - more than most players. Without him in '05, the White Sox would never have even made the playoffs. After watching several overpaid deadbeats completely ruin this past season, Scott performed like the pro that he is. |
