Mat Latos pitched seven strong innings and fellow rookie Will Venable drove in the go-ahead run and made a run-saving catch to give the San Diego Padres a 4-2 victory over the Atlanta Braves on Monday night.

Braves are done... Nothing more than a average club. Above average pitching below average offense. All this talk about bring in more power look no closer than Chipper and McCann our 3 and 4 hitters both had 18 homers at the all star break last year. That is our main power shortage. Off season wish list an outfielder he can hit 30 plus homers and bats right handed
