According to the Lehigh Valley IronPigs' promotional schedule, Friday night's opening game of a four-game series against Pawtucket was "Fireworks Night." The promotions people were alluding to the postgame pyrotechnic show, not the plethora of runs and hits the Pigs would put on display in front of 9,894 fans in their 13-3 International League win.
