Spikes defeat Jammers to force Game Three
Carson Kelly delivered a solo home run and brought in three runs total while Michael Schulze collected four hits to help the State College Spikes beat the Jamestown Jammers, 12-4, on Saturday night at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park and send the New York-Penn League Semifinal Series to a third and final game on Sunday.
Spikes rally, but Jammers hold on to take Game 1
The State College Spikes nearly erased an early 6-0 deficit with a five-run sixth inning, but the Jamestown Jammers stifled the Spikes over the final three frames to take Game One of the New York-Penn League Semifinal Series, 6-5, on Friday night at Russell Diethrick Park.
Spikes hang tough to top Jammers in extras
The State College Spikes came back from an early deficit and withstood a late Jamestown Jammers rally that sent the game to extra innings before taking advantage of Jamestown wildness to beat the Jammers in 11 innings, 6-4, in a Labor Day matchup on Monday evening at Russell Diethrick Park.
Spikes take two from Jammers on Thursday
The State College Spikes scored a sweep of the Jamestown Jammers on Thursday night at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park, rallying from a four-run deficit in the bottom of the ninth to win the completion of a game suspended on June 25, 9-8, then trouncing the Jammers in the night's second game, 8-2.
