Minot's burn building facility is known as a "Battalion Chief" model. It was purchased from Fire Facilities Inc., a Sun Prairie, Wis., vendor, for $145,000. The tower itself is manufactured by Wesco Steel Fire Training Towers, a company that builds several models of pre-engineered burn buildings.
