Adler gets support on base pay
The chairman of the House Armed Services Committee said Thursday he would help address the pay disparity at the mega-base. Civilians working at Fort Dix and McGuire Air Force Base have been earning less than their counterparts at Lakehurst Naval Engineering Station.
Civil Air Patrol cadets to fly as Falcons
Eleven Civil Air Patrol cadets, including four from the Shore area, will attend flight ground school and fly single engine Cessna 172 aircraft at the 2009 New Jersey Wing Falcon Flight Academy to be held at Fort Monmouth, Lakehurst Naval Engineering Station, and Monmouth Executive Airport from July 5th to July 11th.
