I live near Luke AFB. The noise is unbearable now. I can just imagine what it would be like with the F35. The F35 belongs at a less-populated area like Mountain AFB,

Noise Maven.... Maybe you shouldn't have decided to live next to the base... I hate all the idiots who complain of the noise. The base was there first and is one of the most historical bases in the country. It's your choice to live near the base don't like it move!

True statement. I work on the jets at Luke and well I'm just throwin it out there but if I do recall Luke has been there for many many years...where you choose to build/buy your house is your own perogative. It's no ones fault but your own.

Remember when you bought/leased your home and part of the paperwork was an overlay of the Luke traffic pattern warning you about noise? What did you do did you still take the house? So now you turn around and bitch about the noise, seems like you should have known what you were getting yourself into...

Dobbins AFB here in Marietta used to be in the middle of nowhere. Over decades people built residential neighborhoods all around. They complained about the noise of so many jets taking off at all hours. The Air Force left Dobbins and eliminated many civilian jobs and much military spending. Now, people are wondering why unemployment is so high in Marietta. About 12%.
obama has just canceled military contracts for Lockheed, also in Marietta. About 2,000 jobs will be eliminated in about two years.

Have you ever bothered to ask the people who live around Mountain Air Force Base how they would feel about the F35 being put in their backyard!?
