Sep. 27--Business owners who have invested millions of dollars in the past couple of years to build more hotels in the Tri-Cities were among the most interested attendees when the Army held a public forum at Union Station in Petersburg on Aug.

Sep. 28--If not for an ongoing program to transfer the operation of Army Lodging facilities to private operators, a planned 1,000-room hotel at Fort Lee might already be up and running today -- and the public could have known about it from Day One.
