What is wrong with our health department?
West Nile virus is here to stay and this is confirmed by the Butte County Mosquito and Vector Control District. It is expected to become worse every year. Why does the health department insist on waiting until pople and animals become sick and die to begin their spraying? Are they afraid they won't have headlines to respond to?
They should begin spraying before people get sick NOT after. They should be trying for a more permenant solution (no not a cure)instead of stop-gap measures.
