Scesny convicted of murder and rape

He is convicted of rape, burglary, aggravated assault etc. He did not rape one woman, he raped many. The only reason he was in the wrong place at the wrong time is because he got caught. I would not recommend a 17 or 18 year old girl get mixed up with a 45 year old convicted rapist. How on earth did she get in contact with him anyway? Is she trolling for men in prison? Really?  (Jun 6, 2013 | post #50)

Scesny convicted of murder and rape

Friendly neighbor, I agree with most of what you said. However, Joey & Alex weren't born evil... part of their childhood involved sexual abuse at the hand of their uncle. Perhaps that is why they turned out the way they did. It's sad and my heart goes out to the rest of their family.  (Mar 5, 2013 | post #44)

Does anyone know if Alex is still being investigated as the Main South Woodsman or did they drop that?  (Jan 16, 2013 | post #40)

Scesny convicted of murder and rape

Wow, what has stirred this up after so many years? Joe Scesny is a very sad and scary story. One more complicated than most people realize. A $1,000 would not have helped Joe in the least. He was not thrown to the legal system wolves by his family, he did it to himself. He was a victim in his own life several times over, but that by no means excuses his actions. Jilly Sue, you say IF he was guilty? He IS guilty, and while he may only have been convicted of only one rape, there were in fact several in MA and GA. If he is telling you otherwise he is not being truthful. Funny how you say Joe is portrayed as the black sheep - I'm quite certain those are his words not yours. He has made you believe that he was the black sheep. He was actually loved and adored by most of his family. They had issues to be sure, but for the most part they were a close group and were devastated by his crimes. As for people misjudging him and stabbing him in the back 25 years ago. Well, perhaps for some that is true, but for others who knew him perhaps there is a different way to look at it, perhaps it was for their own well being and survival. Remember, you have only a one sided view, the one he chooses to share with you. It would be nice to think that people could be rehabilitated for such crimes, but does anyone really want to take that chance? It's a scary proposition.  (Nov 3, 2012 | post #36)
