Catholic School Boards Struggle With Human Rights Requirement

Editor's comment: in Ontario, Catholic school boards receive tax funding just like public schools do. Did they think they could take tax money and not have to follow provincial regulations regarding how schools are to be run? They feel exempted when it come to justice for all.  (2 hrs ago | post #7)

How about the RC integrating divorcees, women cooerced into abortions, gay couples, gay priests,and those who don't believe in incidental doctrines like papal infallibility? And yes, those who differ in all sorts of ways. And after seeing the previous post here, yes illegal immigrant kids, to "the truth" nightmare. You're right: life is life. But, human life is not a human person. My kidney (which is human life) can be removed and given to another person. This is human life I have donated, but it isn't the human person. Neither is a fetus, for sure in the first trimester. This is my personal position on the question.  (Wednesday | post #14)

It stuns the imagination that Catholic bishops would deprive millions of living people, many of them children, of decent health care in order to protect fetuses. Many of these bishops had the gall to compare themselves to MLK in the recent Manhattan Declaration. MLK would never associate himself with them in sacrificing so many children and people because of their fixation about abortion and gay marriage. These men are showing that they are a shame and an insult to the principles of Christian life and the meaning of decency.  (Monday Nov 23 | post #1)

Marriage is an invention of mankind. It became a sacrament in the Catholic church in the 12th century. It's current form has nothing to do with God.
