About 80% of black babies are born to unwed moms

This might be a shocker to you, but George Bush has nominated and hired more minorities in his current administration, including high cabinet positions, than any other President in history. Not even the first black President, Bill Clinton put more minorities in his cabinet  (Jan 24, 2008 | post #406)

Carson to lie in state Friday at Statehouse; funeral Satu...

Yes, there were grammar mistakes. Meant to say “prices” not “products” Didn’t need the “and” then. “to” should be “of” I just had surgery, I’m on drugs. Whatever.  (Dec 18, 2007 | post #46)

Let’s dissect your argument here. 1. Show me where the war has affected the poor more than the rich. 2. Moving jobs off shores allows for products that Americans buy to be affordable to all, including the poor. Keeping jobs here in union factories increases the products of the goods. 3. Opposed privatizing Social Security. Good luck if those poor people ever receive their Social Security if it continues the way it running. That’s right, I forgot, the poor would rather the government have the responsibility to handling their money than the personal responsibility of managing it themselves. 4. Those tax cuts to the "well-off " have stimulated the economy. Job growth remains steady and unemployment is still at all time lows. 5. You want to talk about poor people losing their jobs, and then adopt the Kyoto treaty. Manufacturing and production would be severely cut. 6. And the NRA is not a "reactionary " organization. It is not their fault that poor people can not afford to pay their bills but yet they have automatic weapons. It is called personal responsibility. You are a joke  (Dec 18, 2007 | post #45)

See, Indiana still consider a very racist state.....

If you would like to make a well stated argument, it would help if you used correct grammar. It should read, "considered " not "consider  (Nov 28, 2007 | post #8)

Not all of Indiana is represented in the South Bend area. There are small towns in every state that can be comparable to where you live. Hicks are prevalent all of the country. I know this because I have lived in MANY states. NASCAR idiots are everywhere, not just Indiana. Indianapolis is a bright, clean and vibrant city with a cultured and educated population. Indiana is home to the best engineering school in the country, Rose Hulman, who beats any CA school or MIT any day. Not to mention many other great colleges and universities. And to your point about the large black underclass, that is of no one's fault but their own. Moot point. While I am sorry about the racism you have faced, I take offense to you grouping Indiana in one broad category of racist idiots. Oh, and Indiana was rated as the most affordable state to live in, I think for the second year in a row  (Nov 28, 2007 | post #7)

Carson: I have terminal lung cancer

Please let me know what "great things" you say she has done for the people of her district. I keep reading all these great things people say she does, but I live in her district and see no great things she has done. She panders to the poor and black. It is truly pathetic. She is only hurting her constituents by providing them federal assitance. It provides for a continual cycle of poverty and welfare which is hard to break. Someone please tell me, what has Julia done recently for her district that is soooo great? It seems that everyone on this forum that is supporting her, just LUVS Julia, but can't tell me why... Her supporters are defending her to her death (no pun intended) and I don't know if they even question their own beliefs. And when questioned about their beliefs, they call those who questioned racist and hateful. It is really disturbing to read all of these posts from her supporters  (Nov 28, 2007 | post #499)

Carson extends leave until end of month

This conversation was about Lugar, not Bush. And this forum has NOTHING to do with BUSH. I will kindly accept your lack of rebuttal about my Carson vs. Lugar argument as a sign of your agreement that Lugar is a much more qualified and more intelligent human being than Carson  (Oct 16, 2007 | post #60)

Gosh...you are totally brainwashed by the left. Did you know that Clinton contracted Haliburton 8 TIMES during his presidency? Probably not. What is wrong with awarding the contract to the company who is MOST qualified? Which happens to be Haliburton  (Oct 16, 2007 | post #59)

Twice as dumb, lets do just an education comparison between the two, here goes: Education Lugar: Senator Lugar graduated first in his class at both Shortridge High School in Indianapolis and Denison University in Granville, Ohio. He attended Pembroke College at Oxford University as a Rhodes Scholar, studying politics, philosophy and economics. Carson: 3rd year of college completed (has attended Indiana Central Business College, Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis, St. Mary of the Woods external degree ... Hmm...Rhodes Scholar vs. St. Mary of the Woods external degree...Point Lugar I could go on and on about how Lugar is one of the most respected memebers of Congress, from both parties. The ranking Republican Senator, He is the Republican leader of the Foreign Relations Committee (one of the most important committees) and a member and former chairman of the Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry Committee. Carson: Committee on Financial Services (ranked 10th of 32 Democrats) Point-Lugar I could keep going  (Oct 16, 2007 | post #51)

Any president, Democrat or Republican is NEVER on vacation. He is briefed EVERY DAY about wordly and important national matters. And makes bigger decisions every day than you would make in your entire life. Regardless if you agree with his decisions or not, his decisions every day effect hundreds of millions of people. Ever had an internship in DC? Probably not. Next time, get some real life experience in the White House before you **tch about the President and his vacation time. At least Bush is public about his "vacations. " What exactly was Clinton doing while in the Oval Office? Working? Might as well of been on vacation while he let key intelligence on Osama slip through his fingers and fail to act on it. Julia should retire  (Oct 16, 2007 | post #46)
