Jury mulling dress code involving Confederate flag
As an adult I have worked at many places with a dress code, and even uniforms. Kids need to learn that they can't always dress the way they want in the real world. If the schools can't enforce a dress code without worrying about constitutional rights, then why can companies enforce one with employees? To the poster who says "if it is not gorey, nudity, or cussing then let them wear it" Who gets to decide what is gorey, too much nudity, or a curse word? Would gorey be any blood at all, or just limbs hacked off (for example), some people are offended by a naked back, some by full frontal nudity, some by rear ends. Years ago, and elbow or knee was considered nude! I know people who are offended by some words and not others. Schools need to be able to have a dress code and be allowed to enforce it. Kids do not need to express themselves in school. They have plenty of time after school to do that! (Aug 18, 2008 | post #27)

I agree 100% with what you said. The thing I could never understand, is if they are ILLEGAL then why is there even a question about keeping them here? As an American, if I break the law I know I'll go to jail. I don't see a big to do in congress about our rights to go out and rob and kill people. The law says we can't, and if we do we know we'll go to jail. Why are they allowed to break the law and not be sent back where they came from? Why all the talk about their "right" to be here?
