One would hope so, at least. The lesson I hope folks come away with after reading these articles is that they learn to treat each other a little better despite differences in opinion.  (Nov 14, 2008 | post #223)

Kevin, While this may be true, two wrongs don't make a right. Wish everyone would calm down a bit instead of being so "Us vs. Them", but oh well. Thanks for the response, anyway. -:)  (Nov 14, 2008 | post #215)

I'm not sure I understand why you thought it was intolerant. I don't believe I called you ill-informed or anything. All I did was point out the hypocrisy of complaining about intolerance while doing it yourself. All I am suggesting is that you should treat others the way you'd like to be treated. I don't see how that's considered intolerance.  (Nov 14, 2008 | post #202)

Okay. So let me make sure I understand this correctly: What you're saying is that conservatives want tolerance and diversity for themselves, but do not think it is necessary to extend the same courtesy to others. Is this correct?  (Nov 14, 2008 | post #200)

Calling people names sends what message about tolerance, exactly?  (Nov 14, 2008 | post #197)

Yes, and if conservatives were truly tolerant, inclusive, and welcomed diversity, then there would not be ONE nasty comment on here from a conservative. It's easy to make hasty generalizations about the "other side" when you reduce them all to one homogeneous entity. You're not really in a position to complain about intolerance when you do it, though.  (Nov 14, 2008 | post #191)
