Jewelry sellers accused of peddling fakes

A $10,000 dollar fine for every fake piece with the money going to the artist. Maybe then will these fools get the message. But just like everything else in Santa Fe someone is getting paid under the table. But this is what we get when we allowed our town to be turned into a tourist trap, we allowed the powers that be to prostitute and rape our heritage, religion and history/culture for the sake of the almighty dollar. The biggest sin is that authentic artist both Native American and local Hispanic loose so much because of this types of fraud. Again a $10,000 dollar fine should help make up the difference these artist loose. Thanks!  (Aug 24, 2009 | post #28)

Cashing in on clunkers

Why would I trade in my 1977 pickup for a 600.00 a month payment? My truck cost me about $100.00 a year to service, my insurance is about $300.00 a year. Sure it drinks gas like an alcoholic at a local bar but it does more than any fuel efficient car could ever do. Besides if anyone ever rear ends that truck they will need another fuel efficient car. Feds ask to drop charges against ex-S.F. police officer

Altonji is disappointed by the lack of support from rank and file officers? Well maybe they know a crook when they see one don’t you think?  (Jul 25, 2009 | post #2)

Despite hiring freeze, state still filling positions

State Government has a very high turnover so they don’t have a choice but to hire. As far a raises are concerned don’t hold your breath blue is a bad color for any person. The State does not give pay raises to anyone unless you are exempt, everyone else is a victim of the system. There is no such thing in State Government as merit pay raises never has been.  (Jul 23, 2009 | post #6)

Plumbing, air-conditioning issues at aging state building...

OSHA! Good grief man! I remember having a meeting with OSHA and the guy pulled me aside and asked me why everyone rolls their eyes at these meetings. LOL  (Jul 16, 2009 | post #16)

I don’t know who developed these buildings but they remind me of old dungeons! All these old buildings have a funky smell. I used to call it “Walking through the belly of the snake” because they painted the walls DARK BLUE!  (Jul 16, 2009 | post #15)

100 turn out to talk DWI deterrence

I believe that this city needs to stop serving alcohol by 06:00 P.M. All liquor stores, bars and restaurants with bars need to close shop by 06:00 PM. If we limit the amount of time people spend on this activity maybe then we will get somewhere. The restaurants can stay open just the bars need to close shop by 06:00 PM. Thanks  (Jul 9, 2009 | post #25)

Since I have birds I am always willing to try different pest control methods that will not harm them. I will put some of these methods to use. Thanks  (Jun 24, 2009 | post #2)

I just bring the lumber home and set it out in the sun, then for the next few days I turn the lumber to allow it to dry. I tried to use some treated lumber for fence posts and most of them warped. Strange that all of the posts warped toward the south . LOL  (Jun 23, 2009 | post #5)

Legislative roundup March 6

Driving while texting: Who does this stuff? When and if a cop pulls you over for this the officer should have the authority to confiscate the phone permanently. If you want your phone back you will have to appear in court and must pay a very hefty fine to get it back. No wonder our city/state wants to pass laws for every human action some people are as dumb as dirt. What else are people doing in their vehicles besides DWI, DWP, DWE DWHS or DWT common folks give me more acronyms to add to the list. DWI = Driving while intoxicated DWP = Driving while phoning DWE = Driving while eating DWHS = Driving while having sex DWT = Driving while texting  (Mar 6, 2009 | post #1)

Red-light camera proposal heads to council

I have no problem with red light cameras as such. But I do have a problem with the believability of the city council. I can tell you right now that catching red light runners is not their primary focus with these cameras. Think DWI!  (Mar 4, 2009 | post #37)
