How can you denounce homosexuality for men yet support it for women in the same sentence? Yet another statement showing the ignorance and intolerance of society today. Wouldnt god frown upon the fact that you support homosexuality in women? According to you and most other christians, it's all wrong anyway. I thought you werent supposed to covet, either? Those posting here stating that the country was founded on the bible is ridiculous. Have any of you bible thumping blind followers actually read the constitution? You claim to be so well educated, yet constantly contradict yourselves with every piece of hateful rhetoric you say. God has no place in our government. By the people, for the people has nothing to do with god. I agree that "In God We Trust" should be taken out of the pledge of allegiance, taken off our money, and DEFINITELY kept out of our classrooms. ...and another thing. Those of you stating homosexuality is a choice, I would like you to cite your specific sources (preferably scientific research) that indicated this as fact. I honestly do not believe one of you can do that. Why? Because homosexuality is NOT a choice. I myself am a homosexual, and proud of it by the way, but not to get off topic I knew I was gay even when I was a child. It wasnt taught to me, I didnt decide to be gay, and I certainly can state that every gay person I know isnt gay by choice. Why would someone choose to be gay? It's been made apparent how many ignorant, uneducated people are out there today in this thread alone. Why would we open ourselves up willingly to the constant abuse you bigots inflict on us? We wouldnt. What, you think we enjoy living in fear? No. God, if he is up there, is frowning upon those of you who are do his judgment for him. Its not your job. You know its not your job. I am proud of it because there is nothing wrong with it. There is no reason to be ashamed for being homosexual. It's not like I woke up one day and decided to by gay. Honestly, with hate crimes like this taking place and all the flack the homosexual community gets, would you really think I would choose to be gay? I have a lot of self respect, and a lot of decency. I am here defending the gay community because it seems none of my peers are present to do so. How would it show a lack of self respect to be proud of who I am? Those who constantly taunt the homosexual culture should be the ones with low self respect. It's nothing more than somebody attacking something they do not understand. I will continue to defend the gay community until the day I die. There are people in the gay community who are afraid to stand up for themselves, for fear of ridicule, persecution and for a fear of their lives. I am only 23 years old, and in those 23 years I have personally had to endure being beaten, harassed and singled out for who I am. How am I supposed to believe that this country is the land of the free, home of the brave, when said freedoms apparently dont extend to my way of life? I for one believe that one day this will change. One day I will be able to walk down the street with my partner and not fear being shot, stabbed or beaten for who we are. The prejudice that homosexuals face today is no different than what the Jews faced from the Germans, from what African Americans faced from white people in America. I have noticed one common thing about Americans; they always need someone to hate. From Germans, to African Americans, to the Japanese, and in recent times Hindu/Punjabi/Indi an Americans. Is it really necessary to hate all the time? I suppose so, since America has made it so apparent. You did not offend me, sir. I am honestly used to hearing everyones opinion on my life. But its just that, isnt it? My life? Why should I have to worry about what everyone else thinks about it? I am not hurting anybody by being gay. Hows this for you..Barack Obama and other democratic candidates recently took place in a debate in Southern California supporting domestic partnership for homosexuals. If you havent been watching the news, he is one of the top runners for President. How does that make you feel? That your ignorant, hateful opinions will not matter come the next presidential election. Also, how on EARTH would the majority of America become infected with the HIV virus if homosexuals took higher positions on political office? That would mean that straight people like yourselves would have to fornicate with gay people to catch the virus. Yet again, your stupidity and ignorance makes itself apparent in your hateful rhetoric. And 85% of homosexuals are responsible for spreading the virus? Think again. the AIDS/HIV crisis is MUCH MORE apparent in Africa, the leading nation in both AIDS deaths and number of people contracting the virus. Please, and as I have stated before, educate yourself before you feel ready to enter the debate. Once again, you hateful bigots have taken the topic off of what it should be; that a man was killed through the actions of someone else, whether it was because he was gay (which I dont believe he was, that was a misconception by the accused) or because he was of a different decent than the accused, it does not matter. What we have here is a HATE CRIME. I see that some people claim this is a hate crime. It's been verified that racial and homophobic slurs were thrown from both sides, and the resulting action was a physical assault from the accused. Racial & homophobic slurs + violence = hate crime. I'm a man, a human being just like you are. The only thing that sets us apart is I am obviously WAY more intelligent than you. You hold complete faith in a religion that constantly contradicts itself and blindly follow it with no question. God, if there is one, frowns upon you today. I would love to see if you had the guts to rant your hateful rhetoric to the face of a homosexual. Homosexuals will continue to exist no matter how much you're closed minded, self centered self doesn't like them. We (homosexuals, and yes, I am one) have the right to express ourselves publicly just as much as you do. Nobody complains when you kiss your wife in public, do they? But I imagine you would FREAK OUT if two homosexuals decided to show their love for each other in public. Its because of people like you that hate crimes exist, and in the same hand the reason they carry the charge they do. Being gay is NOT wrong, its NOT a sin. Look at the Romans. Go even further back in history. Homosexuality was going on before anybody even knew what the bible was. So, what gives some religious mass the right to all the sudden denounce it? There is no right. Also, doesn't the bible teach tolerance? I know for sure that god isn't looking to greatly on the man who comitted this crime, nor is he favoring you for slandering a group of people for no reason. So, if the wife of Vusik confirms that he is in Russia and is in contact with him, would she not be guilty of obstruction of justice? She obviously knows his location and isnt speaking up. Also, like the other user had posted, they have confirmed the guilt of the accused. So why is no pressure put on the family to get him back here to face the charges?
