Runner Ryan Shay dies in marathon Olympic trials

Running does have many great health benefits. But its not a catch all. Each person must evaluate on a case by case basis if Long Distance Running is best for them.  (Nov 3, 2007 | post #12)

Pacers' Tinsley: 'It's on me now'

Why doesn't Bob do more pieces like this? I think they will grab as much attention as his opinion stuff. He is a better Human Interest writer. Sometimes on his opinion stuff we can see right through the writing, that he doesn't really care  (Oct 28, 2007 | post #48)

Better schools, economy and neighborhoods

Mass Transit not in the budget, if Police and other necessities can't be payed for. Peterson can't bring in outside business like Mitch. If Mitch was mayor then we would have mass transit, and some quick cash.  (Oct 28, 2007 | post #2)

Winters won't return as Fever coach

As far as Winters not winning the big one, it wasn't a matter of that, you had a key injury to your best player and you were still able to advance to the Conference Finals. The main problem is that Detroit was out for blood, at the direction of Bill Laimbeer and the Fever were physically beaten down. The Fever had a great roster this year, but they may need one more defensive stopper  (Oct 28, 2007 | post #14)

Again, if O'Brien demands %100 effort from his players and they actually listen to him, and give say 90%, then he will be 90% better than Carlise  (Oct 27, 2007 | post #15)

Growth in October pleases Pacers coach

u are right, this team has about 2 weeks to win back the fans, or they might be in an up hill battle the rest of the way or at least until the Colts season is over. They are on a short leash.  (Oct 27, 2007 | post #13)

IPS' White accepts bonuses, but he declines a pay raise

Again Dr. White really can't control what is happening in the comunnity, kids moving and leaving and picking up. The pressure for tests scores. He is being strong and that is most important. He is trying to change the culture and he pretty much is fighting with the Devil on this. There are a lot of tenured folks who don't want to see IPS change they've been blaming "IPS" for their lack of courage and commitment. Dr. White is trying, but he can't tame the eastside.  (Oct 27, 2007 | post #145)
