Trying to keep Lakewood CA stories on topic and the forum posts about Lakewood issues
Yep nothing new to us... please feel free to send us the specifics and we will try to post them if postable http://blogsearch. google.com/blogsea rch?hl=en&sour ce=uds&q=lasd% 20blogurl%3Ahttp%3 A%2F%2Fwww.laag.us %2F (Wednesday | post #3)
I have no fear. I ride my bike down the SG River at night and they run away from me fast. They are scared of humans. (they know we cannot be trusted) But when it comes to small pets and small kids well all I can say is Darwin is at work so be smarter than the coyote. If not well they they're gonna get you! Quite frankly you should be much more up in arms about domestic killers like pit bulls and LB gang members...get real (Sunday Jul 27 | post #3)
A high-tech tax plan for Lakewood
We hope to be posting more on this story on our site this weekend. this type of activity is going on at all cities in CA. Generally the idea is to "update" the ordinance but at the same time expand its scope to cover more types of devices not taxed currently. So it looks like a tax "increase " or rather a "tax base broadening" in reality. www.laag.us (Friday Jul 25 | post #1)
Fireworks rules may get stricter
Safe and sane fireworks have not been around 200 yrs. Also I hope you are reincarnated as a dog and scared to death each 4th of july. that would be great. Oh and thanks for the pollution. We dont need more people with your attitude. You need to move to China. They like fireworks and the air is great over there I hear. As for fires how many million dollar homes have to be burned down before we say its too many. I hope its yours. (Thursday Jul 10 | post #47)

No its not an ACLU issue. Its a freaking lazy ass Sheriff's dept that does not do anything at all but pension calculations. We dont even have police so had you spent any time here you would know that. Post Rodney King and OJ trial cops dont want to go after anyone as they know they will get sued or juries will let criminal off. So they scam the taxpayer into purchasing over priced law "enforcement " and then sit back and do nothing. If LASD were doing something for 9 mil. a year they would publish daily stop/call/arrest info like this (http://www.santam onicapd.org/Press_ Info/). LASD does not want taxpayers to see that info as it will tell us one of two things: They are doing nothing as we suspect, or crime is a lot worse than the city is telling us. People in Lakewood are just apathetic. One council member on the council for 30 yrs. A CA record. 40k reg voters and 2700 votes gets you elected. 9 million a year sheriff budget and they come 2 hrs after you call them. The city is a total joke. This is what happens when you have a city council that really does not know what is going on and picks favorites. They are also lead around the nose by the "staff". We dont spend on infrastructure that residents can enjoy we build new parks for gangs from "other cities". What vision. Oh and dont forget we are "sports town usa" funded by TNT fireworks, peddlers of smoke and fire. (Tuesday Jul 8 | post #29)
Lakewood CA fireworks injuires 2008
Not sure what "celebrated " means as you use the term. For most that means getting drunk and setting off illegal fireworks. Not sure how that is patriotic. Voting is patriotic as is community service. lakewood used to be a good place. Now its a haven for rednecks with motorhomes and toy haulers as they know laws are not enforced here. We need to add that to the silly Lakewood slogans..."Ti mes Change..lax enforcement does not.." (Jul 8, 2008 | post #8)
Lakewood CA fireworks injuires 2008
I love these quotes. Bottom line is that anyone that has lived in lakewood for a while knows better than to call in a crime/complaint to LSAD. They wont do anything, even if they do show up. This is also part of the reason crime is "low" here...its just not reported so therefore not added into the LASD stats. I love it. Do nothing long enough and crime "appears " to go down. Try them apples Bratton!! How sad this city is. Its what happens when you have a city council like we do. They are too busy making nice with the few voters that will vote for them than actually getting tough on the slobs. www.laag.us (Jul 7, 2008 | post #6)
Lakewood CA fireworks injuires 2008
We are trying to verify injury reports as LACFD and LASD and the city dont like to report anything about injuries as that is bad for the precious fireworks business. Any reports about fireworks problems are welcomed. We are looking for more info regarding a drunk 18 year old igniting illegal fireworks and possibly a stick of dynamite near San Martin Park late last night. It is my understanding that a dozen homes in the area, and cars, were damaged by the blast, including the 18 yr old having a chunk of his leg blown off. report to http://www.laag.us or updates@laag.us (Jul 5, 2008 | post #1)

Why we have non Lakewood people posting on Lakewood topics is odd. Do you have Fireworks in your neighborhood in SD? In March of 2006 we had a house blow up in Lakewood due to fireworks http://www.laag.us /2006/08/fireworks -offender-miller-s entenced.html (Jul 4, 2008 | post #23)
Teens beat, rob boy in Lakewood
Journalists" dont like to mention race as its too sensitive and non PC...the real issue here folks is that the LASD is hiding daily crime stats from you...why would you want to know about crime stats?? Maybe so you knew what the hell was really going on in this "sleepy" little town. Wake up! We have crime [and the seeds for much more] and LASD is not doing anything about. And hiring more cops at 250k a year in total costs is not the answer. its finding cops that give a damn about something othre than working three days a week and their CALPERS [retirement] calculations http://blogsearch. google.com/blogsea rch?hl=en&sour ce=uds&q=lasd% 20blogurl%3Ahttp%3 A%2F%2Fwww.laag.us %2F www.laag.us (Jun 23, 2008 | post #94)
City budget takes 'wolf at the door' into account
All of the foregoing comments are well taken We are attempting to get a copy of the full budget now. Organized written complaints to the RIGHT people are the only way things happen in lakewood. If it is not in an email to them it did not happen as far as they are concerned. Look it takes 2700 votes out of 45,000 voters reg. in the city to get elected to city council. So figure it out people. We have had one councilman on there for 30 years. A state record! Lets go with the obama theme...CHANGE! and no insiders re-elected. http://www.laag.us http://www.lakewoo dbeautiful.com/ (Jun 21, 2008 | post #5)

Electric Meters adjacent to neighbors driveways and safety of Gas lines
Ill say it again...LASD in Lakewood is concerned about two things...their pensions and doing as little on duty as possible. http://www.laag.us /search/label/LA%2 0County%20Sheriff% 27s%20Department%2 0(LASD) (Jun 8, 2008 | post #3)
