Attn: Adoptees and Birth Parents and Grand Parents - Reun...

I am a 46 year old adoptee searching for my biological family. I do have some non-id information about them. Born May 7th 1966 in Mpls/StP MN. Adopted through Catholic Charities of Minnesota. BMom was born in 1947 and was 19 when I was born. She was the oldest of 8 children still at home. Blond hair and blue eyes was the description given to me. She attended a Catholic grade school. BFather was 20 and in the Army. At the age of 24 I had a brain aneurysm, at the age of 34 diagnosed with cancer. Since then I have had 7 surgeries. Cancer free for almost 10 years. Please if this sounds familiar to ANYONE contact me at  (Feb 19, 2013 | post #2)

Make adoption records available to adoptees...

I believe changing the adoption records from microfiche to digital is a huge step for adoptees like myself. I have been searching for 28 years now. When I was 24 I had a brain aneurysm and at the age of 34 was diagnosed with cancer. I have had 5 surgeries since then. Cancer free for 7 years now! I find it difficult to understand why I can trace my dogs blood line back to the cave days...but not allowed to have my information?! I would like if nothing else to be able to have my medical information. Maybe if I had had a loving upbringing with my adopted parents that it wouldnt hurt like it does. My adopted parents tried to have children (both from a huge Catholic family) for 16 years and couldnt. They adopted my older brother at birth, myself 2 years later and then my little brother. After they brought him home...they got pregnant. Go figure! Well, they had a girl and from that time on, I really didnt matter. Im ok with that. The support systems out there for adoptees is amazing.  (Jan 30, 2013 | post #1)
