Another Arbor Station Crime!!

I agree, but unfortunately it won't happen. If they did that, the 'thugs' would sue the county for abuse of authority or whatever, and instead of going to jail, they'd get money from us tax payers.  (Jul 16, 2010 | post #15)

H1N1 shot had chip implanted in it

I'm not opposed to that, I am opposed to doing it without consent.  (Jul 12, 2010 | post #3)

Does anyone know any good jokes.

This dude goes to a bar every Friday night and orders 3 beers and drinks them all. After several weeks the bartender gets curious and asks him why he does that. He says that before he moved to this town, his 2 brothers and him went every Friday night to a bar for a beer. One Friday night months later he goes to the same bar but only orders 2 beers. The bartender, assuming the worst tells him "I guess one of your brothers passed away? I'm sorry for that' to which the dude responds "Eh? oh! no, it's just that I decided to quit drinking"  (Jul 9, 2010 | post #20)

Mother of pit bull owners cited in earlier attack

I love doggies, but when they bite me I don't love them that much. I think I read there are some states/provinces/a reas? in Canada that have outlawed the breeding of pit bulls. I wonder if they had some solid proof base for doing it.  (Jul 9, 2010 | post #46)

New Texting and Driving Law

It is not that hard to enforce. The 'symptoms' are the same as a drunk driver: Zigzagging, erratic speed, etc. After they stop you, they could get a log from the phone company of text messages sent from the phone (not the actual text), and if the times coincide with the time of the ticket, there you go. I don't think the fee is low. I mean, $150 hurts, plus 1 point. I don't think anybody's going to think "oh, it's only $150, I'll keep texting". They will or won't do it the same, until they get a ticket. And then they'll stop (or not) the same if it was $600. The law mentions 'operating a vehicle' and 'internet', so it's not only texting. I wonder if the car is stopped (but still running), like at a red light or while waiting for the train to pass, or if you get to a side road to search for 'pizza' in your smart phone is still punishable  (Jul 8, 2010 | post #10)

White Heritage Festival 2010

Our border with Mexico

Yes, it is totally wrong, if you can't see that for yourself, then I don't know if anybody can convince you otherwise.  (Jun 30, 2010 | post #8)

Our border with Mexico

You don't even make sense. If someone reports an asian male 3 foot tall, then that's a description, there's no profiling. Profiling would be like "someone stole a car" and you go looking for a Mexican or a black guy.  (Jun 29, 2010 | post #4)

Our border with Mexico

I agree with arresting criminals, I am not ok with profiling in any way or form. If you perform a crime, you should go to jail, no matter if you are white, brown, yellow or black, if you have or not a mustache, if you're wearing a baseball cap or a sombrero. But if you don't commit a crime, you shouldn't go to jail. Appearance is irrelevant.  (Jun 29, 2010 | post #2)

M.D. or D.O.

Well, I wasn't aware of the differences, so I appreciate the clarification  (Jun 28, 2010 | post #7)

Sammy's Pizza

I just eat Dominos, the new sauce is great and the new crust is awesome, and the deals are really good. Sure, doesn't beat some pizza restaurants pizzas, but a pizza doesn't cost $15 either.  (Jun 28, 2010 | post #4)

Offshore Drilling - Douglasville, GA

I think we are moving away from gas already, before the whole thing about the spill. We'll be using less and less gas (hybrid, electric vehicles), so I don't see a need to change the off-shore drilling rules. So what if in 10 years gas is $5/gallon? Cars at that time will most probably use less than half the gas they use today on average, so it'd be pretty much the same cost to fill a tank  (Jun 28, 2010 | post #70)
