Authorities make \"major\" marijuana bust
Most cops and agencies will charge everything they can because the DA (not only here but in every jurisdiction) tends to plead down charges. I think its called something like the shotgun theory...something like that. Charge everything and something is bound to stick. (Yesterday | post #15)
Teen charged in assault at Fun Depot
I dont work with Pre-trial Release, but from what I understand when someone is released prior to their trial, they have to meet conditions set by the court. Those conditions can be that they have to live at a particular address, or they can only be at work or home, cant drink or do/have drugs, etc. He does visits at home and work to ensure that they are following the conditions of their release. If they aremt, he takes them back into custody and their release is revoked where they sit in jail until their trial. As for why he didnt go to management, I think the poster above probably answered that. I wasnt there but they got information from witnesses who were and they said that he was attacked basically unprovoked. Again, I dont know for sure there but I think the story is plausable. Teen charged in assault at Fun Depot
Well, I wasnt there so I dont know exactly what happened. I've read the call but I cant give information about what I read. All I can say is that most cops carry their "piece" at all times- on duty and off. I've even known a couple of them to carry concealed at church. I dont advocate that though. :) This officer (I wont give his name nor his agency) is a great cop who is very skilled in handling volatile situations (did I spell volatile right?). I have personally heard him on the radio in a struggle with a suspect and he can definitely handle himself. I can say that he did nothing differently that I, myself, havent and wouldnt do in the same situation. The difference is I wasnt hit when I confronted people about swearing. I love a good curse word and have absolutely zero issue with it but there is a time and place. Fun Depot is supposed to be a Christian place and the management should have stopped them and sent them from the property (although if these guys were really armed as it has been reported, this situation could have turned out much more tragically). Like I said- I fully support this officer and I'm glad that he and his family are well. (Yesterday | post #44)

Seriously?? Give me a freaking break. So I guess when someone is arrested for an ounce of pot the cops are looking for money generation? You're crazy. (Yesterday | post #10)

Shocking that you would blame him. I cant tell you how many times I have said something to people about their language in front of my children. And I dont carry a weapon- ever. This officer didnt deserve to be attacked. These thugs were trying to gain access to his weapon and he secured it WITHOUT firing a shot at them. If you had any balls you'd say that he did the right thing here. But you dont so you wont. (Yesterday | post #37)
