Split over union law reaches Wis. court race

No that is how a dictatorship used a word to take over. Where do you believe the word community comes from? Or communion? And socialism... Being social, socializing, being a socialite, social studies, all stem from the word society. Both communism and socialism are theologies that go back to ancient times. The Russians used them because their people wanted a government like ours. Stalin used the terms from the heart of every free country to lure the people to overthrow the government. Just like conservatives here use something like the constitution to convince us to destroy it, and our economy. It's all true... It's in those bookie thingies. You know those liberal indoctrinators the libraries are full of.  (Jul 17, 2011 | post #4851)

You know that reminds me... The EPA just took a hit of nearly 600 collage educated inspectors, that protect us from bad drinking water and bad air (to name but two things) from honest do gooding conservative corporations. The EPA was then handed 200 new administrative employees (many of whom are directly related to major campaign supporters from the last elections) at almost triple the wages as the displaced inspectors. Many of them had no collage degrees, or experience for their assigned jobs. The EPAs budget suffered no fluctuation as a result of the employment shift. The party all of the new employees were affiliated with?  (Jul 16, 2011 | post #4843)

Yes but the unions are only funded with the scraps from corporate tables. I wonder what kind of "For The People" politicians the corporations can buy?  (Jul 16, 2011 | post #4842)

You know the owners of my local big Corp. Took home 2 billion each for a total of 10 billion American dollars. The Corp. Had a profit of just 8 billion dollars. The local non union workers that actually developed, manufactured, marketed, and shipped those goods out earned 2.2 percent higher earnings than union compared with a 6% lower benefit rate, and enjoy profit sharing. The personal income of the owners is now in the Caymans in tax deferred accounts. Neither them or the corporation payed taxes (property or income) the fine people doing all the work.... Yeah they paid taxes... Shame on them for not all being the owners... They must be lazy. Oh yeah. The profit sharing was lower than expected this year. Must have been the income raises for the owners..  (Jul 16, 2011 | post #4841)

First James... Communism is something you participate in, in church. If you are involved with your community, you are practicing communism. If you do kind things for your neighbors, or help out at a food bank, or even have parties at your house you are practicing socialism. The very act of voting is both socialist (over all) and communist (local politics), not to mention a cornerstone device to liberal politics. The Russians used those terms to build the support of the people. They delivered the opposite. I mean really, if you sleep in a garage are you a car? What if I named you Mercedes? So would you be anti-socialist then..?..?  (Jul 16, 2011 | post #4840)

Frank the Majority of corporations in this country are small. Many private Americans are incorporated. These are the corporations that are paying those corporate taxes. I paid 38% last Lear with less than $250.00 in sales. The top 10% of corporations don't pay. Not to mention that the trillions of dollars in personal income the heads of these corporate owners and CEOs earn are often sheltered off shore in tax deferred accounts. That means it is outside the worlds economy and more importantly our economy.  (Jul 16, 2011 | post #4839)

Senators, congress people, and supreme court justices make that kind of money.  (Mar 2, 2011 | post #4247)

I find it interesting how you and many others group off people. For instance; many of the people being laid off are standing in or on the Wisconsin Capitol grounds. They ARE tax paying Americans like you... They are standing up for the rights of ALL Americans NOT just them. Many of them voted for Walker. To that end every time you make victims of our politics out as "them" and "you", you miss the point that "them" and "you", are our neighbors, friends, and relatives. On top of that we are ALL tax paying middle Americans with the same rights across the board. If you don't want to exercise all of yours then don't but please don't hold down the rights of other Americans. Remember "they" are "we".... .. The people...  (Mar 1, 2011 | post #4042)

Yes everyone in the station minus execs, and interns are one union or another. Most of the technical staff is in I.A.T.S.E. The on air people belong to a variety of unions, so they can work in a variety of media outlets.  (Feb 28, 2011 | post #3892)

That's not true in most districts. In small rural districts with little financing and incentives teachers are very hard to replace. But this is the exception and not the rule. Teachers all over the country are fires for a litany of reasons well ahead of public awareness. Most school districts would rather cover their ass and dismiss before recording bad press. Then their is a union investigation. If the teacher was found to be innocent a severance package and letter of recommendation are signed by the district. If the teacher is guilty their union rights are stripped away. All after the dismissal. You see unlike the teamsters and the UAW, the teachers union doesn't want the association with bad members.  (Feb 26, 2011 | post #3430)

Walker offered that info freely and with absolutely no coaching. He offered information beyond the questions asked, and proposed nefarious solutions to what he considered road blocks. Yes a trick.  (Feb 26, 2011 | post #3428)

Why do you think a chalk board turns words and numbers to fact? You know the library of congress doesn't have one single chalk board in it's stacks.......  (Feb 26, 2011 | post #3427)
