'Cash for clunkers' gets stalled

This guy, Obama, can't run anything right. Consider this "Cash for Clunkers" as a test run for how will this administration can run our health care system, except on a smaller scale. Wait until tomorrow morning when Obama gets out there with the teleprompters and takes credit for the success of this program, while ignoring the organizational chaos, and then announcing the need for MORE cash for "Clunkers II." The same thing will happen with health care, we'll need another trillion on top of the first trillion. Health Care II. You can bet Axelrod is working on the morning spin right now.  (Jul 30, 2009 | post #31)

The gap

Supposedly the police recorded this episode. When the tapes are released, it should be done on national television with Obama, Gates, and Crowley in front of the cameras. While I think I know who will be revealed as the liar and racist, I will wait until then to pass judgment.  (Jul 25, 2009 | post #14)

I can understand a doctor being at the president's side at all times. But after he leaves office, would he and all congressmen sign a pledge to join the public plan? Obama didn't answer, because he doesn't want you to know that he, and the others in congress, will always have access to the best health care possible.  (Jul 22, 2009 | post #24)

The Wall Street Journal printed this column about what Obama plans to do with Medicare. Obama did not answer the question, so read this: http://online.wsj. com/article/SB1000 142405297020351730 457430390349815929 2.html?mod=googlen ews_wsj  (Jul 22, 2009 | post #17)

President Barack Obama's Chicago home: City spends at lea...

If I remember right, his home cost around 1.5 million. Of course he got a deal on it. Rezko wasn't such a good negotiator, so he paid full price for the lot next door. See, it pays to be honest.  (Jul 20, 2009 | post #20)

Don't tell it to the judge if it's an excuse

It only takes 5 minutes for me to get to a suburban area with free parking and no fear of parking tickets, not an hour. Why should anyone keep getting reamed by the city and keep begging for more? Maybe the city will start to get the message when the streets are half empty, and store owners start to scream. Isn't it enough that the city gets the sales, and amusement taxes? As long as people like you keep paying up, I have to assume that you enjoy getting reamed.  (Jul 19, 2009 | post #57)

Don't tell it to the judge if it's an excuse

I just shop in the suburbs whenever possible and avoid city parking entirely. It's just not worth it, even if you can beat the ticket. Why bother. Watch city revenues continue to plummet as more people flee to the suburbs to escape the taxes, meters, and tickets.  (Jul 18, 2009 | post #13)

Chicago hiring monitor notes progress, setbacks

I think the ENTIRE city "work" force was hired through clout! Daley must be laughing at such a low "catch" rate. Oh well, so much corruption and Daley skates again.  (Jul 16, 2009 | post #8)

Gov. Pat Quinn to detail $1 billion in spending cuts

Cutting the pensions would be a good place to start. All new hires should be put on a 401(k) plan. And they should work until age 65, in order to get full pensions. But, it will never happen in this state.  (Jul 6, 2009 | post #5)
