Firefighter mourned

It sounds as if this person lived his life to the fullest. I wish I had known him as he sounds like he would be a great friend. God bless you Dave. May you rest in peace.  (Jul 28, 2010 | post #5)

Truck rally spins out of control

I bet I could. My daughter and 3 of her friends went to this event (not a "rally" like you idiots like to call it). None of them have tattoos and none of them smoke. They went for the enjoyment of it, and had a good time. I've never been to one , but grew up involved in automobile racing. There are bad apples at any type of sporting event. At least the parents of the drivers were not fighting with the judges like they do at their child's sporting events. Just because you don't care for automotive sporting events, don't think that everyone that attends is a complete moron.  (Jul 27, 2010 | post #83)

Boston weighs smoke-free public housing

How in the h e l l do they think the will do this. The can't ban drugs, guns, overcrowding, or destroying public property, so this will never happen. It is the "right" of the welfare rats to smoke, do drugs, shoot people, pack as many people as possible into their government paid for apartments, destroy it and then complain about the living conditions. Just ask our President or any tree hugging liberal.  (Jul 27, 2010 | post #2)

Truck rally spins out of control

This article brings the reporting of news from the Eagle to a new low. First of all, a "rallye" in the automotive world is a long distance race, with small groups of spectators along the way. Not something held at a track. This should have been called an event. Secondly the arrest of 1 dozen ( make it 2 dozen) people would only be .008 percent of the say 3000 people that attended. Not an event spinning out of control. The part of the woman driving drunk with a child is somewhat news worthy for a slow news day in the Nassau NY local paper. I think Conner Berry needs to find a new line of work. He definitely is not a good reporter.  (Jul 26, 2010 | post #68)

Cable TV is getting expensive

Interesting offer, but the word angry bothers me. Angry women don't usually make a good date(or anything else). I appreciate the offer, but I think I will stay with the 18-19 year olds from the Westfield-Northampton area.  (Jul 23, 2010 | post #33)

Basically our government s u c k s. It has always supported big business or the welfare rats. We need a government that supports the people that elect them. Good luck on the emigration. If you find a better place let me know... I'll be happy to join you.  (Jul 22, 2010 | post #26)

Cable TV is getting expensive

There are options to everything out there. If you don't like Windows, get a MAC. You don't like cable , get a dish. You don't like your local phone company, get a cell. The options may not be as good as the original, but at least you are not supporting the "monopolies " that exist. For every law that is passed preventing a monopoly there are 5 laws passed (by the same politicians) that allow ways to get around the new "law". There has to be a level that all companies are required to perform at, and a cost to consumers that cannot be exceeded before we will get rid of the "monopolies " that presently exist. I doubt this will ever happen.  (Jul 21, 2010 | post #22)

Cable TV is getting expensive

Even if there was another cable company they will build the same areas the TWC built. Cable companies only build in the "profitable areas". He might be able to get another company to build the "half mile or so" for $11,000, but he isn't going get a big break in the cost. The only thing another cable company might bring in is lower cost in the established cable areas, not in the non cabled areas, and they will not build much past where the existing company is, because the profit is not there.  (Jul 21, 2010 | post #19)

Money sought to fix court at Kirvin Park

They will use it, abuse it and destroy it again. Then they will expect the city to repair it again and again and again. Sorry folks, the city put it out there for the kids to use and enjoy. They destroyed it so let them find something else to tear up. Parents today think it's the towns responsibility to raise the children. Guess what folks... that is YOUR job. START DOING IT !!!!!!  (Jul 21, 2010 | post #1)

Stabbing is another suspectless crime

Instead of spending 4.6 million on cleaning up a park, how about spending it to clean up the streets? If you get rid of the drug dealers and the wannabe's the park will clean itself up. When will the governing powers figure this out ?  (Jul 21, 2010 | post #10)

Hotel, employees settle lawsuit over back pay

They probably picked up his name from the Eagle article about Canyon Ranch. I would like to know who the local lawyers are that specialize in employment law. I was referred (by the Mass Bar Association)to a firm out of Springfield. I don't consider Springfield "local".  (Jul 16, 2010 | post #9)

Pittsfield man has license suspended

" A Pittsfield man had his driver's license suspended and was ordered to pay multiple fines as a result of a single-car accident in Cheshire in December. On a second charge of negligent operation of a motor vehicle and a third charge of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, Bertoli admitted to sufficient facts. The cases were continued without a finding until July 13, 2011." 1st paragraph says his license was suspended for the most current accident he had. 4th paragraph says he was charged with 3rd offense driving with a suspended license. Sounds like his license was suspended when this most current accident happened. Why was he even let out of the courthouse? This guy will be back in the news soon, only next time it may be about a drunk driving case where people are killed. Get this guy off the road. Me thinks our bleeding heart liberal judges are at it again.  (Jul 16, 2010 | post #18)

Mass. hires specialist to address inmate suicides

More of our tax money spent on criminals. Who really cares if they kill themselves ? It would be better if they took a couple of their cell mates with them. I'll even pop for the rope if they will use it. Most of them are useless anyway.  (Jul 16, 2010 | post #5)

Mass. woman pleads not guilty in baby's death

Are Berkshire County judges doing double duty in Hampden County? Out on PR... what the sheeeet is that? I guess the old saying " don't do the crime if you can't do the time" applies here. More like " do the crime, you ain't gonna do no time " is more appropriate.  (Jul 15, 2010 | post #6)
