Whittier stores welcome Black Friday shoppers

Actually, I didn't even need to leave my house yesterday, I did all my shopping online. By the way, Newegg had a 1.5TB for $60 plus free shipping. A much better deal in my opinion. You can't put a price on sleeping in and not having to deal with crowds in the freezing cold.  (Nov 27, 2010 | post #6)

Law banning 'aggressive solicitation' approved

The City Of Whittier needs to do what Yorba LInda is doing: http://www.ocregis ter.com/articles/c ity-260728-permit- solicitors.html We need a "Do Not Knock" policy similar to Yorba Linda's in this City. I'm sick of bused-in "fake" Cal High, Whittier and La Serna students ringing my door bell at 8:00 p.m. trying to sell me cleaning supplies or magazine subscriptions.  (Nov 11, 2010 | post #6)

Denied marriage proposal prompts alleged assault in Pico ...

All sorts of class... what do you mean she turned you down!?! You painted the words on the back of your car, you asked for her hand at possibly the single most romantic spot on the planet... Burger Stop! And she still said no!?! Dude, you should have run her over along time ago. Look at the bright side, once you get out of jail you can at least go and return the engagement ring back to the 99ยข Store. I'm sure they'd be more than happy to give you a refund. When you're done returning the ring, please do us all a favor and walk in front of a bus.  (Nov 11, 2010 | post #20)

Whittier street closed due to a down power pole

"For unknown reasons, the driver lost control of his vehicle, it spun around and hit the power pole," he said. "The pole was severed at the base." Fact: It was raining Friday morning. I would say the wet conditions, plus the speed of the vehicle during the turn onto Lambert were the reasons this idiot lost control of his truck. He's lucky he or his passenger wasn't killed, I doubt he'll learn a lesson from this.  (Oct 17, 2010 | post #11)

Mustard used to vandalize Republican Headquarters in Whit...

Hey Whittier Resident: "Running for Govener soon. I will hire more police and build more prisons in Californina. Thats how we stop the recession..." Uummm... Listen, save yourself the grief and just pretend that you're going to run for "Govener " of the fictitious State of "Californina " trust me you'll be doing EVERYONE a favor. After all, in reality we all know that you'll win that race by a landslide. Too funny. I love the double standard that the "left" continually perpetuate... they can do and say anything with impunity and yet when the "right" express themselves they are automatically told they can't do so. So much for those on the left being open minded... yeah, right. You're only open minded as long as I agree with you right? This is why those on the left will always be a joke... because you're hypocrites.  (Sep 12, 2010 | post #18)

Trio arrested in wake of Corona Del Mar ban robbery are L...

Up to 120 mph speeds during the chase? Kill them all please, now! Here's a great stat; 95% of all bank robbers are eventually caught... those aren't really great odds. Stereotypical stupid idiots. What ever happen to rise above? I'm surprised "they" aren't waiting around for their almighty Obama to hand them out a job... oh wait, that would require working... unless we're talking about a State or Gubernant [sic] job... we all know Government workers don't do a damn thing. They'd be perfect for that.  (Jun 9, 2010 | post #3)

Historic Whittier water district office moved

It's great to see that the Water Co. didn't just demolish this historic old building, even if it is rather plain looking. Good for them, I'm sure somewhere Karma points are adding up.  (May 12, 2010 | post #1)

Robbers flee empty-handed in Whittier home invasion

Santa Ana!?! More like Mexico. It's pathetic but not surprising at all. Just look at where "they" come from, it's not like "they" have any motive to better themselves. Apparently it's much easier for 90% of the Mexican population to be a criminals than it is to work hard and "earn" an honest living.  (Mar 10, 2010 | post #20)

Whittier police seeking armed robbery suspect

11863 Whittier Blvd. is the shopping center located across the street from Fred **** . Nelles he was headed West towards the 605 not East towards Washington Blvd. But I absolutely LOVE the idea of a "cholo checkpoint" it's brilliant and just what these pieces of human waste need. BUT I'll take it one step further and say we need "cholo checkpoints" at every major intersection in the City of Whittier. I'd gladly pay more in taxes if Whittier ever went 1930's Germany on these cockroaches. DevinDaDude, you know why "some idiot says this every time a hispanic is arrested?" because it's the F n truth! Side note: just this past Wednesday I was stopped near the Whittier Court House at the Mar Vista/Painter intersection as I watched a freshly released (he was wearing what looked like a head to toe blue zip up garbage bag, so I assume that's prison issued) LA County inmate and future death row inmate being picked up by his equally lovely looking family. Anyway, was it wrong that I fantasized that a out of control garbage truck would come along and wipe them all out in one foul swoop? Now, not only would that be awesome but ironic all at the same time... Daily News headlines would read "4 dead as gang bangers are run over by garbage truck."  (Mar 6, 2010 | post #7)

TV show creates new back yard for Whittier couple

LOL, permits for backyard work? Backyards should be the least of the City's concerns. Try working on all the blighted ghetto looking store fronts along Whittier Blvd. and Lambert Road for starters. Some of these buildings along these streets have the crappiest looking signage. I swear some of these signs look like they were made by elementary school kids with spray paint.  (Mar 4, 2010 | post #4)

Two caught in stabbing of teen

I meant one for each of them... but you could line them up and put a single slug through both of them. I like that idea.  (Mar 4, 2010 | post #6)

Two caught in stabbing of teen

Would killing these two pieces of trash really be a bad thing? It's not like one day they'll just wake up and all of a sudden become good people. Do Whittier a favor, no the world, two slugs to the back of the head. Think of the long term savings we would have if these two were dead and buried. One can dream.  (Mar 3, 2010 | post #4)
