I don't think they meant asking if he was a divorce attorney to what you have said. I believe they meant maybe it was a hit as a result of a bad divorce hearing...maybe they didn't like his representation of the case or the other side didn't like the outcome of the case and could be a hit from either party??? Either way, I believe the comment was not to say "he deserved it because he is a divorce attorney". Which in this case he is not a divorce attorney so let's put that aside. This horrible crime sounds like a hit. I wonder if anyone was home, why didn't anyone report shots fired, silencer..hmmm maybe, and why didn't anyone go out and see why he never came back into the house. I understand they found him the next morning and by a neighbor who was walking by??? sounds very fishy?? (Wednesday Dec 9 | post #75)

This is how you should go... face up to your responsibility without having to drag everyone, especially the victim's family through a trial and hope that they will find you INNOCENT!!! this young man should be commended for taking responsibility for his actions...unfortun ately that will not bring this young woman back. However, will serve as a lesson to all others out there, drunk driving and causing harm to others, and looking at this case and learning from an example of "GUILT and REMORSE" (Saturday Dec 5 | post #9)

Sorry... The story should be about the victim who had no control to to ending of his life. This man who you call "college student" did have control of his life and he choose not only to drink and drive but walk away from a disaster he created. Sometimes friends are not the best place to turn.... it is much safer to talk to someone outside of your inner circle so that you don't feel you need to hide certain information about your relationship or anything else that could be bothering you. Just like the parents of the kids who set that boy on fire in Florida.... I want to see them, the parents. I want them to give an interview to the media and tell us about their wonderful children. Everytime there is a tragedy involving a minor you always have the victim's parents coming out and speaking of their pain...Which I agree they should. HOWEVER, we never, ever, ever see the parents of the PERPETRATORS...I want to see them. I want to know what these parents think, look like, act, everything. Mixed feelings about Obama's Nobel Peace Prize
"for his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples" Is this not what the Noble Peace Prize is awarded for. I'm I wrong to believe that this prize is not awarded because of his presidency in the United States in the 12 days he was in office before the nomination. I'm I wrong to see that it's because of his uniting people from all over the world, not just the United States as President, but as a person who is able to go out into the World and make a stand and a statement to possible "Peace". ... Police: woman abandoned 3-year-old at LA bus stop
According to the story this woman looked to be around 20ish.... which means if this child is 3 yrs old she gave birth to him when she was around 17-18 yrs old. Well, this is a sign that children should not be having children. She was probably overwhelmed, alone, and felt she had no other choice but to leave this poor child alone in the dark on a bus bench. WOW!!! When will young people realize that having a child is not going to change things in your life..yes they bring joy; however, it comes with alot of responsibility. Don't get me wrong, there are adults who shouldn't have children either. In these scenerio I will keep it focused on young people. WAKE UP young women!!! there is such thing as birth control...have your fun RESPONSIBILY!!!! You did read that right Scott the post did say "smokey" I couldn't agree more with your comment to "Princess ". We all have the right to post what is on our minds and yes sometimes things get ugly here, but that is where "freedom of speech" comes in. This young man should have been thinking about his pregnant girlfriend and have been at her side instead of running the streets all hours of the night, especially at "El Rodeo"....eve ryone who has a sense of "living" stays the hell away from there. You go there and believe me when you walk out you are looking straight into a barrel of a gun. I agree with all the posts about closing this hell hole down. How many lives have been lost as a result of leaving or being anywhere near this "club". Come on Pico Rivera if Santa Fe Springs was able to close down a "Strip Joint" and Montebello, the club that served alcohol to underage patrons "children ", I am sure Pico Rivera can ban together and CLOSE THIS JOINT once and for ALL!!!!!! and send these narcotraffickers back to Sinaloa where they belong..... Actually the speed limit was 40 (Rosemead Blvd at Beverly Blvd) and I was going 51....and yes the traffic was back up on the 605 making everyone get off the freeway onto Beverly trying to "weave" through traffic on the sides streets. (Sep 10, 2009 | post #7)
