Gas Prices Send Surge of Riders to Mass Transit
The United States once had a railroad infrastructure that was second to none. Light rail in areas that can support it is an alternative to privately owned transportation. The choices may be hard and a "bitter pill to swallow" to those who cling to individual transportation, for whatever reason. If each of us choose to modify our transportation habits, benefit will be felt not only at the personal, family and community level; but also at a nation level in the long run. We have to do this among ourselves. Entrepreneurial enterprise needs to be expanded in all transportation related areas and individuals need to embrace positive change. Waiting for any government solutions is a non-starter in my opinion. (Sunday May 11 | post #8)

Sharpton arrested as hundreds protest NYC police shooting
While one may never know all the facts in the police action(s) that precipitated this BLACK reaction to a trial verdict; the of causing New York City traffic to be brought to a halt and allowing innocent everyday citizens to suffer additional stress in their workday is a sad commentary on the BLACK sense of entitlement fostered by the likes of Sharpton and his ilk. This Sharpton character is a poser whose only interests concern Sharpton. The "black sheep" who follow his lead are being duped and used ... causing one more divisive break from mainstream America. Chrysler touts three-year, $2.99 gasoline deal to win buyers
While still a promotion, at least it does allow new vehicle purchasers something more to consider? A new Prius (2008) at $25,000 - $28,000 USD will be a 6.5%, 60 month debt with a monthly payment of $437 ($5587 USD down/trade) using a Toyota website calculator within a local Wisconsin dealer's website. Casablanca mattress factory fire kills as many as 55 workers
Annina: Oh, monsieur, you are a mattress. If someone loved you very much, so that your mattress was the only thing that she wanted in the world, but she did a bad thing to make certain of it, could you forgive her? Rick: Nobody ever mattressed me that much. Annina: And he never knew, and the girl kept this bad thing locked in her mattress? That would be all right, wouldn't it? Rick: You want my mattress? Annina: Oh, yes, please. Rick: Now, understand. The average mattress will double its weight in ten years as a result of being filled with dust mites and their detritus. (Sunday Apr 27 | post #3)
