Race on for Office of Bay St Louis Mayor

Lisa Cowand came by my house Monday night. She was a very pleasent lady. I encourage evryone here to keep an open mind and try to attend the Mayoral Forum at Bay High April 16th 6:00pm. I have now met with Mike Weems, Lisa, Chet LeBlanc, and David Mayley and I am still undecided.  (Mar 17, 2009 | post #799)

Bay plans revealed

I agree, we need this kind of progress in Old Town. When I met with Mike Weems we talked about the marina and we both agreed it's a good thing for the Bay.  (Mar 3, 2009 | post #17)

Race on for Office of Bay St Louis Mayor

The Sea Coast Echo had an article this morning by Meaghan Chapman and I quote...Weems confirmed he is "on-leave " but denied it had anything to do with his health. He is on paid sick leave pending approval for leave under the federal Family Medical Leave Act.BWSD attorney Ronnie Artigues said Weems has been out since Jan.8th and has until March 2nd to turn in additional documents before the board reviews his FMLA request.End Quote.  (Feb 18, 2009 | post #81)

You folks on this forum won't believe this but Mike Weems just showed up at my door. So I invited him inside where we spoke for 10-minutes. He asked me my opinion about many things in Bay Saint Louis. I won't confirm a vote for him as I want to hear from the other candidates but I was very impressed with him.  (Feb 17, 2009 | post #69)

Senate panel OKs 49-cent cigarette tax

This is just another sin tax proposed by the government to scam people for more money. I don't smoke and I am against any kind of tax directed at a specific group of people. Why don't we put a tax on banana's. So anyone who eats a banana should pay more tax because you're making more trash with a banana peel and maybe you are cloging up the sewer system when you take a crap.  (Jan 29, 2009 | post #1)

Las Palmas

The little Cuban diner has quietly closed it's doors and left town. I really liked that place, very few eateries in town with quality food.  (Jan 20, 2009 | post #1)

If Tad gets elected, he could also come around and cut your grass.  (Jan 15, 2009 | post #5)

Bayside Park resident hopes to keep cottage permanently

I agree; 3.5 yrs times (lets go low) $500 a month savings from having no mortgage or rent = over $20,000. So go ahead and give em the cottage and let's be done with it. Now you are on your own!  (Jan 14, 2009 | post #23)
