No - You're wrong. The Cancer-smoking link can be proven by the thousands, if not millions of tests on those that developed cancer and also smoked. HOw then do you explain those that get get cancer and never smoked, or were never around those that smoked? Ozone depletion may or may not have occured. Man, may or may not have had anything to do with the the results. While there may be some evidence to support your claim, there is no proof. IMO - there is also a chance that the ozone layer "problem " may have been a natural event, and was corrected by nature, not the action or inaction of man. (Yesterday | post #215)

Apparently they are starting to realize that man has little impact (up and down), when it comes to carbon. Bush hasn't "fooled" anyone. I recall the Dem's in Congress blocking every attempt at waging a real war. The selective memory of most is astounding. I never said low taxes - I said "fair" taxes. I think it is unfair for the socialistic democrats to pick my pocket to pay for programs that make you feel all warm and fuzzy. Try not to oversimplify the problem. It's the difference between NO taxes and High taxes. It's the difference between fair and unfair taxes. It's the difference between paying for every entitlement program you can think of and personal responsibility. If you like the German system, there is nothing keeping you here. Paying for services is a good idea - the problem is that some people continually try to increase services that the "public" should pay for. That's not the kind of CHANGE i want. Use it or loose it"? Why drill in areas (in the lease) that have been proven to have no oil? If more than fifty percent of the wells dug in the leased land were dry, why should we spend more money there? The Dems say the current leases are sufficient, even though they have been proven to be less than productive. Granting leases for political grandstanding purposes, in areas where there is no oil, doesn't solve the problem. New leases are needed to obtain the oil we know is already there.
