Cavite candidates vow solidarity in peace pact

Maliksi assails relief of Cavite police director

MANILA, Philippines - Cavite Gov. Erineo “Ayong” Maliksi has assailed what he described as an “unlawful” change in the police leadership of his vote-rich province, saying this could lead to a disruption of the May 10 polls. The City of Dasmariñas is a first class city in the province of Cavite, Philippines. It is located approximately 30 kilometers south of Manila. According to the 2007 census, it has a population of 556,330 people, making it before the most populous municipality in the Philippines before it was converted into a city.[2] Dasmariñas is now the 11th largest city in the country in terms of population. 1 hurt as tornado destroys houses in Cavite

LAGUNA – One person was hurt when a tornado in the wake of typhoon “Santi” (international name: Mirinae) swirled through at least 25 homes in Ternate, Cavite, early morning, a disaster official said. Mall manager shot dead in Cavite

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna Philippines—An operations manager of SM mall was gunned down by a still unidentified man in Bacoor, Cavite, Tuesday morning, the provincial police director said. 8 new marine recruits leave for Ternate, Cavite

CEBU CITY, Philippines - A 22-year-old man from Argao town, Cebu was undaunted with the beheading of the 14 Marines in Basilan and still finds himself lucky to be one of the 68 new Philippine Marine recruits. The new Marine recruits took their oath yesterday inside Camp Lapu-Lapu, headquarters of the Armed Forces Central Command.
