Hi Friends ... I'm new ...

Hi Derail ... i really can't say much about the area of Unit 13 ... as i haven't been there ... but most of Rio Rico is absolutely gorgeous ... since you are in Cali ... before making a decision, please take at least a weekend trip to the area and cruise around ... you can get an area map at the Santa Cruz County Office, which shows a plat of all the roads and different sections of Rio Rico .. it makes it real easy to drive around ... good luck and keep us posted ... just watch out for any unbuildable/hilly lots ... scammers are out there and they will sell sight/unseen to make a buck ... Hi Friends ... I'm new ...

Hi Linda .. i see Rompeolas on my map of Ranchettes 18 ... that entire section is absolutely gorgeous ... it's sooooooo worth the trip out there ... we are basically on the same page as you as far as retirement goes ... please do NOT get rid of the lot ... you will be sorry ... as this area is beginning to boom ... we have seen so much growth in the last four years ... our heads were spinning when we took our last trip down ... if you ever build there, we'll basically be in the same neighborhood ... i hope you can get out there soon ... Jo Anne .. p.s. try downloading google earth and doing a search ... you can "zoom" in on the neighborhood ...  (Mar 26, 2008 | post #89)

Hi Friends ... I'm new ...

Hi Kimberlit81 ... my friends live on Camino Apolena ... do you know John and Christine? .. i don't want to put their last name up here on the forum for obvious personal reasons ... i did see a gorgeous newer home on Apolena for sale a few months ago ... are you on a corner? ... or more up the hill? ... Apolena is a beautiful street ... for those of you who haven't been there ... you should post a pic or two here in the forum if you can ... like maybe in the AVATAR area ... just a thought ... good luck w/the sale ... ... we are going to sell a portion of our lots in the Yucatan (on the beach) if anyone is interested ... you can "personal message" me ... thanks ...  (Mar 26, 2008 | post #87)

Hi Friends ... I'm new ...

Hi Connie ... we have a friend in Rio Rico who is in the process of selling her house .. however, there is a guest house attached to it ... and she rents it out ... if you want, i can send her an email for you .. but if the house sells, then your hubby would have to find new quarters .. but in today's real estate market .. i think the next six months or so will be safe ... what do you think? ... Palo Parado bridge?

Hi Rio Rico Resident and all others concerned .. i totally agree, there is a definite need for that Bridge ... that drive through Santa Gertrudis is so convenient ... and such a time-saver ... it's my opinion, that since Avatar has that new planned upscale development, Rio Ranchos going on right now ... in the N/E Quadrant, it should only be a matter of time until they kick in for a new Bridge ... i think if potential buyers to that project spend the kind of money they are asking for, future residents will want a much quicker access to 19 ... i know i would ... trust me, if we were down there (living full-time) i'd be right with you ... fighting for that bridge ... here's to positive thinking ... !!! ... Hi Friends ... I'm new ...

Hi North ... if i am looking at my Plat Map of Rio Rico correctly, Calle Cherokee is located in the Ranchettes, Unit 9 Section of town ... but it stretches all the way up to the Villas 13 Section ... it's a rather long road ... with any lot, you really should make sure there is a flat part to build on ... because some people buy lots without viewing them first ... and they are sloped and not buildable ... have you seen the lot yet? ... Q's & A's about Tubac, Tumacacori & Rio Rico

Hi Fisherman ... we just returned from a trip to Rio Rico ... although it appears at the current time, that new home construction may a bit on the "slow" side, there has been so much new construction built since our last trip four years ago ... according to our Realtor, builders are seriously working with potential homebuilders competing for their business ... i.e., additing upgrades in price for free ... so you may be going in just at the right time to start construction ... do you plan to reside in the area when your home is being built and where exactly is your lot? ... Protest by Petition: Tubac plan opponents turn in 4,000 s...

Oh my goodness Castro ... where is this "hostility " coming from? ... My husband and i just returned from a trip to Rio Rico and we visited Tubac for the very first time ... i totally agree with you, TUBAC is a beautiful area of Santa Cruz ... but in all fairness to the residents of Rio Rico ... i must come to their defense ... may i ask if you have been up to the Northeast Quadrant of Rio Rico lately? ... it is so beautiful up there ... gorgeous large custom homes, are being constructed with views that would knock your socks off ... i can only speak of what we have seen ... our 6.5 acre lot on a Mesa is pure heaven ... and we have every intention of making it our little slice of paradise ... we are real people, not "pretenders " nor are we drug users ... quite professional in our own right ... from what i have heard, the development near Tubac will be in a planned form ... thus weeding out "riff-raff " so to speak ... there should be some conformity ... and i believe a good, firm HOA should take care of any potential problems ... it's just my opinion, but i would think that residential growth can only mean great things for an area's prosperity ... maybe i am unaware of this, but has there been problems in the past between the residents of Rio Rico and those of Tubac ... ??? ... since we are not living there i am truly clueless of what goes on ... in my heart, i had to say what i feel though ... sorry if i offend anyone ...  (Feb 2, 2008 | post #2)
