Kimme: Troublemaker has a point

Have to wonder how Kimme voted when these fat, lucrative, juicy retirement and benefit packages for Police and Fire personnel were being approved while he served on the City Council?  (Mar 21, 2012 | post #3)

Scammers still at it

Reminds me of the 2 elderly women who were scammed about a month or so ago in Vacaville for 6 figure numbers. Most likely they were well off to begin with but their greed got the best of them. Greed and stupidity what a combination, no tears here for those two. Great to see Boots was on the ball and outwitted the crooks.  (Mar 21, 2012 | post #3)

Lid liftoff is design issue

Oh what a genius old Harry is, only took him the 12 years or so to notice that Garbage Toters lids blow open on windy days. The extremes some people go to so their name shows up in the local rag. Another idiotic useless letter Harry can frame and post on his wall.  (Mar 21, 2012 | post #3)

Who allowed this?

I have to wonder if this is the same William O'Connor who sat on the City Council in the early 80's. If so and if I remember correctly he was in no hurry to remove his crappy campaign signs around town when he ran for mayor. As far as the Park he is attempting to speak of I thought it could be Pena Adobe but there is not a sign there. Maybe William needs to understand the difference between a strip mall and a park.  (Feb 26, 2012 | post #5)

Bicyclist injured in Vacaville crash

The Bicycle Pack that originates in the evening hours from Rays Cycle runs every Stop Sign on Dobbins, Hemlock and Orchard among other Traffic Violations. Just a matter of time before some of them get T-boned. Would love to see the whole group get ticketed at once. Probably won't happen though since there is a chance a there could be a Law Enforcement type riding with them.  (Feb 24, 2012 | post #4)

Thanks for finding purse

Gayle letter is premature, whoever found her purse now has enough of her personal information to attempt ID theft. Returning the purse to her residence along with CC's and other ID's may have been done on purpose to give her a false sense of security while the ID theft is attemped.  (Feb 8, 2012 | post #14)

Vacaville crime rate decreased in 2011

Exactly, until these back slapping figures such as crime stats are calculated by a non biased party I don't hold much faith in their accuracy. Just look at the bogus inflated numbers the Reporter gushes over each year regarding Bus ridership in the city. Who do you think compiles those figures? Answer, the highly over paid COV Transportation Manager and his Staff. Job Security at its finest. One stat I would like to see is the number of traffic citations written each year, with a breakdown for each alleged offense. With City/County budgets hurting especially in the Socialist Republic of California I am sure there has been a sharp increase over the past few years. But I am sure this will not occur for obvious reasons.  (Feb 8, 2012 | post #5)

Rooster misplaced Occupy peck

Personally I think the Reporter was a behind the scenes organizer, they gave it enough free advertisement. Had to laugh when there pitiful Occupy Vacaville ended up being just a poorly attended circle jerk.  (Jan 20, 2012 | post #4)

Picks & Pecks Editorial: Civil right trumps Vacaville policy

Don't be surprised if the Reporter is playing a behind the scenes role in Tuesdays Occupy Vacaville movement. 1.The Reporter published the letter with the ridiculous and childish complaints against a Vacaville Police Officer, including a link to You Tube on which the Occupy Vacaville plans were advertised. 2. Saturdays Rooster Rant against City Hall regarding Tuesday's Occupy gathering. 3. Karen Nolan even suggested a few months ago in her column of holding a Occupy Vacaville. If these Occupy Lemmings had half a brain and practiced what they preach they would show up at Richie Rich Rico's place or better yet C.C. Yins. After all each of these Capitalists could easily be regarded as members of the 1% club, at least in this neck of the woods.  (Jan 15, 2012 | post #3)

Unhappy run-in with police officer

After viewing the video it is obvious the Officer was just doing her job and I might add doing it very well. I don't have a problem with being critical or directing my opinion to an Officer if I think they are in the wrong, but this ridiculous accusation from these anal idiots is laughable if it was not so pitiful. Personally I felt the Officer showed great patience in dealing with these nitwits. Having similar discussions of my own with other like minded fools the good Officer has my sympathies in this incident. I agree with Gemineye maybe some feathers were ruffled when the Officer came along and interupted the planned doobie break during the hike. Oh and a great big "Peck" to the equally anal Reporter for publicizing this non event.  (Jan 8, 2012 | post #29)
