Longtime GOP Texas Gov. Perry wins another term

Courtesy and feelings are two different things, which people like you can't understand. THe matter is civilization. It's why music my ancestors made as slaves was much more intelligent than some of my peers, who are supposedly free. Civilization is in words and has CIVIL as its root. We discuss things in a civil way. We deal with one another civilly, rather than have shoot outs like the Wild West. We make transitions in government peacefully, as opposed to secession and coups that you see in other lands. It isn't about my petty personal feelings but rather the need to speak about governmental matters in a clear way. Political discussions today remind me of my first weeks on campus at college. I couldn't believe that Palestinians and Israelis and Turks and Armenians were shouting at each other on campus, yelling. Ethiopians and Eritreans, too. Are we all civilized or not?  (Sep 4, 2013 | post #20243)

10 Celebs Accused Of Skin Bleaching

I realize that a Black man who loves a Black woman is a strange thing to someone like you, but it exists and did exist. Not all women look alike and there is nothing wrong with Black women, just those people who feel that all women need blonde hair and White skin or whatever.  (Sep 4, 2013 | post #8)

10 Celebs Accused Of Skin Bleaching

It's as ridiculous and wrong for a Black, Indian, Latin, etc woman to bleach her skin as it is for a White, Latin, etc. one to TAN hers. People should not do much to their natural selves. Yes, people do these things, but it isn't good.  (Sep 4, 2013 | post #6)

10 Celebs Accused Of Skin Bleaching

Dark skin is not a problem for Black men, today or Indian men. It was in the past, but not in today's world. It's okay to bleach parts of the skin that have exaggerated discoloration, like age spots or acne marks, but to bleach one's entire skin is sad and ridiculous.  (Sep 4, 2013 | post #5)

NAACP-KKK meeting in Wyo. believed to be a first

People like you want so badly to take one thing and make it into another. You come to sites like this and pepper them with your hateful words and leave website addresses, to ostensibly "get the word out". But it is you who is lying, to yourself and other people. Black people have real problems, many of them stemming from slavery. The criminals are poorly raised, badly turned out people and YOU have them as well. There are more of them now than in the past because the last 40 years have seen a crisis in Black parenting and families. But this is NOT a Black problem. Such things were seen in the time of Dickens...a time when London was mostly White. I can take you to White areas of Canada that will shock you. And areas of Eastern Europe where terrible crimes are committed to and by other White people. And as I said earlier, most of the crimes people like you are outraged by have been committed by these same individuals to other Black people.  (Sep 4, 2013 | post #22)

NAACP-KKK meeting in Wyo. believed to be a first

This is unfortunate. AS I said, I do not mind someone being proud of their English, Irish, Dutch, etc. heritage or their White skin. The issue is taking the PRIDE and making it an excuse to put down others. I don't have to be "anti-you " to be "pro-me" . And if it would stay in that realm, all would be well.  (Sep 4, 2013 | post #21)

I see it differently. I don't want people to "look past" my race, because there is nothing wrong with my race or any other. No, you can't control your skin color. However, I see this as a larger issue. I see people changing everything about themselves physically. I think you should be PROUD of how you were born. If you were born red-haired, you should be proud of it. If you have a classic nose or a flat nose or a bulbous nose, you should be proud of it. If you are very dark or very freckled, you should be proud of that, too. Biodiversity is real or everything and everyone would look the same. Yes, I believe in pride in coloring, etc. because it is good.  (Sep 4, 2013 | post #20)

Miley Cyrus: Has more Justin Beiber, less Disney 'twerked...

Calling what Miley Cyrus did "twerking " is an insult to strippers and people who just love to dance. She is just ridiculous and trying too hard, as they all do, to say "look at me, I am not a kid anymore". To a degree, even Shirley Temple did this in the Bachelor and the Bobby Soxer, trying to be a girl gone moony.... This girl is rich and being useless didn't end the careers of Kim Kardashian or Lindsey Lohan (unfortunately)... .  (Sep 4, 2013 | post #4)

People like you claim to be superior to people like me, yet you are unable to make one argument without the use of idiotic terms like "tard", "loon", etc. I managed to get a command of the English language and a general respect and tolerance for people. When will you "superior " people get it?  (Sep 4, 2013 | post #20238)

No one thinks of the President as the Messiah. No one thought of President Kennedy or President Clinton that way, either. YOUR PARTY wanted us in Syria and Libya and complained about it loudly. I remember this distinctly, wondering what interests our nation had there. NO ONE wants to be involved with Syria, but chemical weapons are a much worse prospect to think of.... Yes, the rebels don't want us there. They said something to the effect of wanting our help but not wanting the United States involved. This is something to consider. But it has nothing to do with party politics. The President has every right to make his case. After all, President Bush made one for Iraq and each President to come will have his or her say, too.  (Sep 4, 2013 | post #20237)

Drones were flying pre-9/11 and mostly after 9/11. THese weren't created by President Obama. People like you don't care about people in Africa or anything so please don't go there. People involved in those conflicts are also not using chemical or biological weapons. Those represent an escalation of violence and you know it, above and beyond DRONES or other kinds of warfare. The President doesn't really want to get involved, either. And I know I don't. But NO I don't want anyone to think they can go as far as to use CHEMICAL, NUCLEAR OR BIOLOGICAL WEAPONS either.  (Sep 4, 2013 | post #20235)

It's close to State Fair time. It's also about women in South Dallas, who I am sure no one but someone like me cares about. Women do shift work there, meaning many have to be out to catch buses and such and yes, there are pros in the area (all areas really), although I am not sure if any of the victims were pros or anything.  (Sep 4, 2013 | post #1)

AT&T Premises Technician Pay?...

I am not in the market for a job with ATT or anything but I have UVerse here and it really sucks. When I call technical support, they can't help me. And when people come out, not much changes. Thank you for the confirmation.  (Sep 4, 2013 | post #7387)
