how does a person deal with a broken heart

Time heals all wounds. “Wake at dawn with a winged heart and give thanks for another day of loving.” “When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight.” This are Kahlil Gibran quotes. A must read for all who has loved  (Jun 27, 2012 | post #12)

Obama-Marriage - Lafayette, TN

Ok, from your point of view will be ok for a father to groom his own kid so she leaned towards what she knows. (authority figure). Maybe for you the legality should not end there and you can marry a horse or a goat. The laws are intended to avoid the anarchy that you seem to support, if it makes me happy (Pursuit of happiness), should I be allowed to kill and rape, to steal...? There is a fine line that you walk when you decide to support anarchy.  (May 21, 2012 | post #96)

Nope, you are twisting the facts, people say that if they marry that should be valid, but they don’t favor gay marriage. Also you don’t check the source of them polls, is like going to a gay bar and ask that question and you will exactly get the answer you are looking for.  (May 21, 2012 | post #94)

Sorry for the delay on the response. To start, I don’t care about the chosen lifestyle of anybody, this to me is not a religious or a moral issue in which I’m not able to pass judgment one way or another. My objection is for the attack on the foundation of society, I can bring into this many statistics on how the rearing of a child is better when a female and a male are present. It has worked for thousands of years and it will only change for the worst. All this hoopla about gay parents, being men or women is completely new and untested, the consequences are not known yet, but we know the ones from a child being raised by a single parent, and the picture is not pretty. The kids fare on average worst in school, have more crime incidence and are more likely to procreate as single parents too. Ask any single parent how easy is to do this and you will have your answer right then. Another unseen collateral “damage”, is that it will completely break the barriers into the taboo like incestous relationships will also have to be allowe since the right of marriage will be universal. Is already happening in courts, and they started on the states where gay marriage is already is already allowed. If this is not enough, just think on percentages. We are basically destroying a system that keeps a natural approach to procreation and rearing, just to please the deviance of a few. (Less than 1/2 a percent of the couples in the USA). Interesting to know that above 50% of gay couples actually think that marriage should be between a man and a woman. And why is Obama on the wrong side of this issue...? That’s was the main question. For starters he supposed to be governing for ALL Americans, but is you check the records, from the voting records in the State Senate, to the votes while in Congress, he has ALWAYS sided with the minority, and his actions as President has been the same.  (May 17, 2012 | post #88)

Trayvon Martin - Tompkinsville, KY

All the circumstantial players here already made up their mind: Zimmerman Guilty. They even keep on posting a picture of him when he was 11 years old. At the time of his death he was 6’2” and about 160. They try to gain our symphaty by using an old picture where he looks happy, young and innocent. But they are the kind of people that prays for this kind of tragedy to promote racial divide and a populist agenda. The truth will come out soon and all the ones in the wrong will step aside the spotlight while the media hides their involvement. This is not what America should look like. The course of justice should be let run unimpeded and impartial. Animal welfare

A shelter privately funded is better taken care than the ones run by the counties, there is a lot of help out there by animal welfare organizations. Also you can check with other animal shelter to check their connections and practices. They can also help with city, county and state regulations. I know I would try to help some. Great Idea Kudos @ U  (Mar 22, 2012 | post #8)

wreck in fountain run

Another sad ending. There goes the thinking that alcohol makes you happy when the word stupid come more to the mind. Even worst, a lot of people that doesn’t drink are at risk of death or injury by the irresponsible behavior of the ones that does. That doesn’t mean I don’t feel symphaty for the relatives of the deceased, this will cause a lot of strain and expenses to the very family he was trying to help by being here.  (Mar 22, 2012 | post #7)

Abortion Debate - Tompkinsville, KY

Well said, I agree with you. Nobody should dictate the way you chose to live and use your body. Since religion is only for the believers, that should not be a deterrent on the use of your own ethics, morals if you choose to have any. Al is good except for a little detail. The Fetus is NOT part of your body, it might be dependent of you for survival but aside from your nurturing intended or not is a SELF CONTAINED life. Breaths on his/her own, the heart beats the same way too. You can’t do that for him/her. So is IN your body, but is NOT yours. Killing it, aside from the moral and ethical standards is wrong, you can sugarcoat this any way you want it but still murder. One should be ashamed that a country that has laws against murder in place will not protect the most defenseless of all beings. Even dogs has more protections that an unborn child. Who would think that the most dangerous place is not in a ghetto, not a war zone.... In the USA the most dangerous place is in the womb and every day 3700 babies could attest to that if given the chance. That’s 1.3 million people a year that will never have the opportunity to see a dawn or dusk, to enjoy the embrace of a loved one or to give the world a new smile. But keep it up in the name of women rights, in the name of avoiding responsibilities and keeping a few more buck for oneself a better looking body and in some cases keeping your a “man”.  (Mar 9, 2012 | post #17)

The Lion Tamer

Two unemployed guys are talking. One says, "I'm going to become a lion tamer." The other replies, "That's crazy, you don't know nothing about no lion taming." "Yes I do!" "Well, OK, answer me this. When one of those lions comes at you all roaring and biting, what you gonna do?" "Well, then I take that big chair they all carry, and I stick it in his face until he backs down." "Well, what if the lion takes that big paw, and hooks the chair with them big claws, and throws that chair out of the cage? What do you do then?" "Well, then I takes that whip they all carry, and I whip him and whip him until he backs down." "Well, what if that lion bites that whip with his big teeth, and bites it in two? What you gonna do then?" "Well, then I take that gun they all carry, and I shoot him." "Well, what if that gun doesn't work? What will you do then?" "Well, then I pick up some of the crap that's on the bottom of the cage, and I throw it in his eyes, and I run out of the cage." "Well, what if there ain't no crap in the bottom of the cage? What you gonna do then?" "Well, that's dumb. Cause if that lion comes at me, and he throws the chair out of the cage, and he bites the whip in two, and my gun don't work, there's going to be some crap on the bottom of that cage, you can bet on that.” Another joke to unwind a little. Peace out !!! ~\:-)~  (Mar 1, 2012 | post #1)
