Moreno Valley: Nason Street improvements appeal moves for...

Yup. LOTS of grading going far east of Nason on Iddo's property. Very odd. Must have saved him $100s of thousands if development. If nothing else they (Skully, Inc?) saved Iddo substantial VACANT lot tumbleweed removal fees.  (Oct 20, 2012 | post #3)

There's a LOT of free work being done 1/4 mile EST of Nason south of Delphinium. How can that be in such of a bad economy? Do you want warehouses or family dwellings> While you're considering Nason "improvements " also check MoVal City Council list of donors and recipients. http://www.pe.com/ tools/maps/2012090 7-moreno-valley-se arch-city-council- campaign-contribut ions.ece?fdall=tru e  (Oct 10, 2012 | post #2)

We see non Nason related work south of Delphinium, east of Nason that is NOT related to Nason improvements! Lots of grading. This property is Iddo Benzeevi's, president and CEO of Highland Fairview. Take a drive over there and you can better understand that these road (and raw acreage) improvements illegally benefit Benzeevi and his plans to develop a 200-acre medical campus. There is NO WAY grading 1/4 mile east of Nason is related to Nason improvements! Stop the lies and/or explain.  (Oct 9, 2012 | post #1)

Nason St extension an excuse to improve Iddo's land for f...

Why is so much work being done far east of Nason on Iddo's land? Drive out and check: East of Nason, south of Delphinium. Please explain the "need" to grade raw land 1/4 mile east of the Nason improvements. It makes no sense.  (Oct 9, 2012 | post #2)

Warehouse developers are covering their bets by donating to several candidates. Oh, it looks like that Iddo, under the guise of the Nason St extension project, is have LOTS of free grading work done on his failed Aqua Bella project. Drive on Delphinium east from Nason. Why is so much work being done far east of Nason on Iddo's land? When he finally does build lots of grading & infrastructure will already be in place. Sure gonna save him LOTS of money.  (Oct 2, 2012 | post #1)

Moreno Valley: City to defend Nason Street fixes

It appears that the Press Enterprise no longer allows comments or posts on their web site and have mandated that all comments no go thru and be posted on Face Book. That sucks.  (Jul 12, 2012 | post #2)

Moreno Valley: City to defend Nason Street fixes

A couple of things: Why wasn't Nason expanded/improved years ago. The problem has been there for years. The anchor stores there (Target, et al.) should have been "asked" to do this BEFORE they could be built. So why NOW? Why was so much residential & retail development allowed, considering that the Nason bottle neck has been obvious for years. Why the urgency NOW to widen & improve Nason? Iddo's failed Aqua Bella development is now going to have Nason extended thru it, with curbs, gutters, sewers, etc. being installed. It seems like this will directly benefit Iddo & save him lots of $$ by having the city do his improvements. City posting show 2,922 "Active Adult" units of Iddo's going in there http://www.moreno- valley.ca.us/do_bi z/pdfs/newdevmap-r ev.pdf So Iddo has a 2,922 "units" AND a proposed 200-acre medical campus tied to Nason improvements. Sure sounds as if he will directly benefit from an improved Nason. Will he press for more zoning changes, again, to benefit himself? (Somebody track this please). Finally the article says "Payments FROM investors over the 30-year period will total about $38 million." Shouldn't it be payment TO investors, not FROM investors?  (Jul 11, 2012 | post #1)

Pizza delivery man's beating stirs outrage in Moreno Vall...

Yup. 2 unsolved murders, BOTH involving pizza workers, BOTH in the same city maybe 1 mile apart... I guess that observation equates to 'fear mongering'?  (Jun 11, 2012 | post #12)

About 8 blocks south of this murder ANOTHER pizza store employee was murdered March 27, 2011! I wonder if there could be a link? "Carrie Thomas, 23, was shot to death. She had just finished her night shift as assistant manager at Shakey’s Pizza." http://www.pe.com/ local-news/riversi de-county/moreno-v alley/moreno-valle y-headlines-index/ 20120327-moreno-va lley-womans-atm-sl aying-remains-unso lved.ece  (Jun 9, 2012 | post #10)

Moreno Valley: Council bias

"ham-handed responses" sums it pretty well; more of the same shaft we've all been fed. "...(the) goal does not justify discarding impartial government. The public wants an unbiased decision on the project, not cheerleaders on the council dais." Well said. Are $10 an hour jobs going to revive MoVal? Nope.  (May 29, 2012 | post #1)

Moreno Valley: Property parcel adjustments proposed

Moreno Valley already has high property taxes. Regardless if you call these fees "assessment districts" and not a tax the money comes from my wallet! My current annual tax bill is $5642... Taxes are $1730 & "Special Assessments" are $3911! $470 per month just to cover these costs. We don't need MORE taxes/fees, we need LESS! And stop playing games with what you call these charges! Taxes, fees, special assessments are all the same.  (May 18, 2012 | post #1)
