Clermont man faces new county of sexual battery

oh geez no one knows the facts yet but everyone is angry. Maybe now because it took her that long to get up the nerve to tell. Or maybe he got her cell phone number off a list of numbers for a club she was in or maybe he asked her for it in the hall. Most kids would give it to an authority figure if asked. No one knows. And maybe she is a bit loose and is a woman scorned. Can we wait for all the facts before we get our blood pressure up?  (Feb 14, 2009 | post #9)

Missing 5-year-old Haleigh Cummings puts tiny town in spo...

I haven't seen this news story until last night and I caught a glimse of the little girl. I think she even looks a bit like Caylee. I thought when someone else was telling me about this the girlfriend claimed the child was sleeping with a sibling. I am sorry I just don't believe someone could or would be brave enough to steal a child out of the bed they were laying in with me laying beside them.  (Feb 14, 2009 | post #2)

Cody's 'Idol' run comes to an end

He should be and I am sure his family and friends are very proud of him for trying. There is a lot of competition out there. Great Job Cody.  (Feb 14, 2009 | post #1)

Rough-hewn dad might be child's best hope

If you had seen Stacy after Blake died you would not believe she was innocent either. Stacy had bruise on top of healing bruise. She has an arm that was broken in 3 places she is having to have therapy 2 day a week on. There is no way a mother would not have seen this child was being abused over a period of time. I don't know Stacy's father or mother and I don't know any thing about any one of them but I did see Stacy and I knew when they walked in the room with her she was a sad pathetic little angel that had been severely abused over time. She is just now starting to lose that scared look.  (Feb 12, 2009 | post #27)

3 children nearly abducted from bus stop

Your both right to a degree here. The days of ozzie and harriot are over it takes every penny you can make to support a family and for most of us being a stay at home mom isn't going to happen. However there has to be a way to keep our children safe. If at each bus stop we have a parent to be responsible taking turns or what ever it takes. I was lucky enough to be able to arrange my job around my childrens bus schedule. Look for other parents willing to help that can do the same but letting your children walk alone isn't an option any more.  (Feb 10, 2009 | post #58)

Casey Anthony update: no family visitors and more from co...

To late to exercise tough love now. ANd I can't imagine what I would do if my daugther did something like that. I can't imagine that my daughter would do something like that. Nor could I imagine years of her lying and stealing. What makes a person so cold and unfeeling as Casey? was it bad parenting or a mental flaw or chemical imbalance? Is it something they created with bad parenting or was it genetic. I just dont know.It is beyond anything I can imagine.  (Feb 10, 2009 | post #2074)

Rough-hewn dad might be child's best hope

Keep your head up the process is long and slow but you don't want the mother to be able to hollar she didn't get due process. When they finally put her away I would want them to have an iron clad case that puts her away for good.  (Feb 10, 2009 | post #21)

Amen to that. I too have seen the fear in the childs eyes. The foster parents keep a book and pictures of the child while in care I am sure she will share these with you. The haunted fearful look is gradually leaving her you will be pleased to know.  (Feb 10, 2009 | post #19)

I don't know Brian or Emma, in fact this is the first I knew Stacy's fathers name. But I do know Stacy and her mother may have been at work that time. But where was she the 3 times that Stacy's home was broken. Where was she when Stacy's head was busted or all the other bruises that was on this childs body when she came into foster care. Where was she when Stacy lost her smile and it was replaced with the look of fear. I live close to the foster home and have seen this child. No way did the mother not know she was being abused NO WAY! I don't know the father but I know an abused child when I see one.  (Feb 10, 2009 | post #16)
