"SAINTS MEDICAL CENTER" your unfair

No health care center works like a well oiled machine with all engines banging at 100%. None. Health care is an industry that is constantly evolving and requires in a lot of cases, split second decision making. This is a very very true statement. I am a former employee of Saints over 22 years, this was the only hospital I worked at. When I moved south a few years ago and got a taste of different hospitals my eyes were open wide. There is so much going on in some ER,s its unreal. I have posted in other post in regaurds to Saints and it upset me to learn that they laid off a good friend and co worker dedicated to her Job for over 20 years..With new administrators comes new ideas and new reasoning, not that its all agreeable. We all can sit here and argue over the BAD THINGS about hospitals. We truely need to convey some gradituted to the hard working employees in hospitals today who are decicated to the well being of all there patients, and in some cases for very little pay. ..Lets focus people and try to stop bashing...  (Jul 27, 2008 | post #41)

Being Melissa Etheridge

Give me a break..How would you know if any female or male was Gay BI or Lesbian..They are all around you, where you work, where you live and the healthcare people who take care of you and your family. You better beware of the pedifile online looking for your children, not the gay man walking down the street.  (Jul 21, 2008 | post #30)

This crap just makes my blood boil..Every one has a right to do and be who they are. The days of discrimination are OVER..We live in a free society..this is not the 50,s when we hated black people!!! LEts not go backwards in time. With all the crap thats going on in this world to waste time creating hate is just terrible..Get along folks..And remember Lowell didnt have any problem accepting all the money the gay people contributed to the economy of the city those 2 days..Hotes, bars and resturants ETC..Funny how money has no sexual orentation..FOOD FOR THOUGHT FOLKS!!!  (Jul 21, 2008 | post #23)

saints hospital

Yes VABEACH is a great place to live, but there is no place like home. I do miss alot of things about lowell. One thing I will never miss are the HILLS the crazy streets and the SNOW!!! And as far as ER,s go, the hospital I work in now is one of the busiest in the area..  (Jul 13, 2008 | post #89)

Wow watch anger we have here about hospital emergency rooms. Alot of what I read is very true and alot is not. I have been in the health care system for over 30 years. Actually employed at saints for 22. It is very easy for folks to say the fat **** behind the desk was laughing. Of course you as the patient have no clue or insight as to what may be going on in other rooms. There is the patient with the siezure, the motor vehicle accident, the kid with the broken arm, the asthmatic who can not breath, the code going on in the trauma room and a 40 year old is dead from a heart attack. Most ER,s have maybe 20-30 beds and see thousands of patients in a day and 2-3 physicians to see them all fix there problems and make the patient and the families feel better. I have also been on the other side of the fence and have been the patient behind the curtain with food poisioning, thinking I was going to die !!! So remember yes your problem is big in your eyes, but just look around and see how many other people are in your shoes too. Lets give credit to the folks who work hard taking care of this sick and not focus on the fat **** who did nothing. Its a shame that one can represent so many and pose a negative picture on the whole thing.  (Jul 9, 2008 | post #56)

I loved the Giant store when I was a kid. My sisters and I would walk there over the Lord Overpass. (former highlands girl) we each had a dollar to spend for our allowance.. Can you imagine how far we went with that dollar..Forget it now....  (Jun 9, 2008 | post #6)

I loved the Giant Store. When I was a kid I would get 1.00 a week for an allowance. My sisters and I would walk there from home over the lord overpass ( former Highland girl). We would spend the day shopping.. We each had our own dollar..Man that went a long way back then..  (Jun 9, 2008 | post #5)

I agree with your statement Lowellian, and having worked in healthcare for almost 30 years I have yet to see them write someone off because of lack of ability to pay. My whole point of this post was to bring to peoples attention that a great person with years of dedication to saints was escorted out the door with no warning..Like I said longevity means nothing today...You can work your **** off for a company for years and when they are done with you..Bye Bye..  (Jun 8, 2008 | post #13)
