US won't accept idea of global 'spheres of influence' - B...

Utter nonsense. Washington has considered the entire globe to be inside its sphere of influence for the last hundred or so years.  (Thursday May 28 | post #1)

NATO discusses membership path with Ukraine as fighting c...

I think the appeal of Communism is somewhat different. It appealed in countries like Cuba and Vietnam not because of the chasm between rich and poor but because of imperialism. Too much of the economy was in the hands of foreign corporations. Naturally people would support taking the companies away from them. Where locals run the corporations there is little attraction to it. Anyway the USA has been cozying up to the world's most populous Communist country ever since Nixon and Mao were in power. Putin's regime is constantly vilified by brain-damaged trolls but a country still run by the Communist party...  (Thursday May 28 | post #16)

The USA does not like democracy in other countries. A corrupt fascist regime sort of like Pinochet's Chile is much more to Washington's liking. You can simply buy the thugs off and then never have to worry about inconvenient things like national elections and public opinion.  (Thursday May 28 | post #13)

Once the fascists in HATO get their tentacles wrapped around a defenseless country... But of course you have always been an imperialist at heart.  (Thursday May 28 | post #12)

20,000 protest in Ukraine's capital

Ukraine already had nukes. The fascists in HATO made them get rid of them though. Being an evil empire HATO prefers all of Europe's nukes to be directly under the control of... Naturally you would be praising Pakistan. The nation which put the Taliban in charge of Afghanistan after the Soviets left and the USA lost interest, which hid out Osama Bin Laden for years and which has been waging an ongoing terror war against the world's largest democracy in India. Just your kind of regime.  (Thursday May 28 | post #6483)

The View that Putin's Advisor Has on Obama's Ukrainian War

Now the Canadian dimwits are trying to blame Vietnam, Syria, Libya and Iraq on Vladimir Putin? Pretty sure Barack Obama's political party is responsible for all of those boneheaded foreign policy blunders.  (Thursday May 28 | post #1505)

The return of the Balkan question

Instead HATO cluelessly balkanized the Balkans. Bill Clinton and George Bush wanted to make their Middle Eastern oil buddies smile so they decided to create a religiously pure Islamic state in Bosnia-Herzegovina through ethnic cleansing. Then they decided to create a second Albania for the shiptar butchers living in Kosovo. Milosevic wanted an all inclusive Serbo-Croatia but HATO chose to back intolerance and carve up a separate nation state for each ethnic minority living in the region. What the west forced on the Balkans is pretty much the opposite of what the EU is.  (Sunday May 24 | post #1)

Perspective: Hitler, as seen by Russia

The Luftwaffe wanted to destroy the RAF. Not bomb British civilians. The goal was a military one. Use air power to drive the Royal Navy out of the British Channel. The RAF was waging a terror war against civilians in Germany. It was not about taking on German air power. Those Lancaster bombers were not targeting military assets. See the difference?  (Sunday May 24 | post #50)

Perspective: Hitler, as seen by Russia

The history is that Khmelnytsky won Ukrainian independence from the Polish Empire. Then the Ukrainians invited the Russians in to help guarantee their independence. Does that sound like an invasion? He is still considered a national hero. Things all over Ukraine are named in his honor.  (Sunday May 24 | post #49)

20,000 protest in Ukraine's capital

Compare the numbers. Why are there so many more Asians living in the Russian Federation than Americans living in the USA and Canada? Could it be because North America was taken through genocide on a continent wide scale? Notice how much more common mestizos are in Latin America? Why were the Anglo Saxons such efficient killers?  (Sunday May 24 | post #6453)

What protects North Korea is the Yalu River. Washington still remembers all of those Chinese troops who crossed over last time the west tried to conquer the country. North Korea is dirt poor though. They would be more likely to sell their technology for cash to the Arabs than to use it. When you are next door to China and Russia with Japan right off your coast there are no small neighbors for you to threaten. South Korea has the much larger population. Why would anyone consider that crazy regime to be a military threat? They would be more likely to use their nukes to blackmail the west. Letting Washington know that if they are not given financial help they may have to cut a deal with Iran or Al Quieda in order to raise the funds to keep their regime afloat.  (Sunday May 24 | post #6452)

Perspective: Hitler, as seen by Russia

Who used those big four engine bombers and targeted urban civilian populations in cities far removed from the front lines? Ever heard of what happened to Dresden? Or Tokyo? Does the word Hiroshima ring a bell? Not a war between opposing armies. A terror war targeting civilian populations. The only bombers like that Stalin had were the ones that landed at Vladivostok after bombing Japan.  (Saturday May 23 | post #42)
