Pre-teens get talk on online threats
It has nothing to do with the socio-economic status of the person since computers are available to anyone, even at the library. What parents need to be aware of is that the printed word leaves a paper trail of sorts that will point a legal finger at the perpetrator. Much different than the days of old. (3 hrs ago | post #2)

Shot fired at Fairfield party Saturday
Good point, there is obviously more to this story. At least this hood is close to Claybank so the cost of transporting these people? won't be high. (Tuesday Apr 29 | post #2)
You have inadvertantly hit on the solution Festus, though maybe not your intent. Six Flags is in it for profit. If there is no money in the caging of large animals in small surroundings they wouldn't do it. So.......stop supporting this enterprise. Stop going to the animal shows. (Tuesday Apr 29 | post #25)

Neighbors lose bid to oust smoke shop
Whatever happened to the old tobacco shops where they sold cigars, cigarettes, pipe tobacco and legitimate pipes? I loved the smell of those shops. Now it seems these so called "smoke shops", tobacco is just a side line. Paraphernalia, Knives, sex magazines etc. It just adds to the element you don't want in your city. (Friday Apr 18 | post #30)
I have a hunch Max wasn't around when affirmative action came into being. It was a point system. An employer hired based on the community make up. 60% black meant that your work force resembled those numbers. Female hiring and promotion also was tagged onto the program. It may of helped for a short time but it has long out lived it's usefulness to the point of creating more polarization. (Friday Apr 18 | post #173)
