Boris Said to Drive Fourth Gillett Evernham NASCAR Nextel...

Well put, Irish! We Said Heads may not always be in the 'cool kids club' but we're nothing, if not loyal to the Church of Said!!!! We're like a pack of wild, afro-wearin dogs looking out for Boris.  (Sep 14, 2007 | post #29)

It's going to be close for Boris

There just may be some justice in this world. I would much rather see the No Fear Ford out there, but I can't complain too much. Great job, Boris!!! Keep the nose clean for 300 laps and give 'em hell on Sunday!!! WHO SAID!?!?!?  (Sep 14, 2007 | post #4)

Good run!!!

Agreed!!! Congrats Boris. I really wish he could have let that dog eat instead of points racing. I'm sure he was told before he strapped in and then again a few more times during the race to take it easy and not take too many chances. I have to believe that Boris could have ran that thing at least into the Top 10 if he didn't have to worry about making a nice 'safe' run for the Wood Brothers. But hey, mission accomplished. Great Job Boris!!!!  (Aug 13, 2007 | post #3)

boris rides again!!!!!!

I just turned on Cup practice from the Glen and saw that Boris is driving the Wood Brothers Ford!!!! Boris is racing this weekend!!! I know the 21 isn't the best car in the garage, but at least he will be driving on Sunday. GO BORIS!!!!!  (Aug 11, 2007 | post #1)

I don't see Boris on the WG entry list

I just checked the Jayski.com, and Boris is definitely on the entry list. That would have been horrible. A road course without Boris is like a day without sunshine!!! With any luck, maybe Evernham can give Boris a car that will last until the checkered flag. Anyone know how Boris did at the X-games??  (Aug 7, 2007 | post #7)

Boris getting a "Sweet Sponsorship Deal" in 08?!

I don't know who this 'Arm Pit Krazy Legs' is, but if this rumor ends up being false, I am going to find out and hunt him down like a dog. If this person is toying with the SaidHead nation, turn him into 'Arm Pit BROKEN Legs'!!! But, in the meantime, let us hope and pray that this 'Sweet' deal is in the making. GOOD LUCK BORIS!!!  (Jul 11, 2007 | post #6)

Rain knocks Said out of Pepsi 400

I really wish Boris didn't have to bite his tongue on the ESPN2 show. I guarantee that he has some pretty crummy stories to tell about 95% of the drivers and teams in the garage. The man has taught most of the field how to drive road courses and all he asks for in return is the support he gets from Roush and the chance to drive a Busch car for Evernham. And look how Ray has kept his word this year. Oh wait, he HASN'T!! I don't know if any of the other SaidHeads here caught the Survival of the Fastest on Boris, but there was one clip in there that just pi**ed me off. He was talking to McMurray on pit road and Jamie thanked Boris for setting up the car because he had 'no idea that Boris did the testing and setup for the road course car' And then McMurray goes out and takes the pole and damn near wins the race. It just kills me how much Boris does for these teams and never seems to get credit or the rewards for it. Even if the 'experts' in the gargage think he's only good on road courses, well that's 2 more top 10's than some of the back-markers and field-fillers will get all year. Other People's Opinions of the Daytona Debacle

It all leaves a bad taste in my mouth too, Donna. I think qualifying should be a 'last chance hooligans race'. If NASCAR insists on protecting the top 35, fine. Let the top 35 qualify to determine the starting order for the guaranteed spots. Then, have a 50 lap race among the other 15 or so cars that are outside the top 35. There are TONS of advantages to this plan. Televise the race to give EVERYONE and their sponsors TV time. Everyone can work on race setups during practice instead of 15 guys floundering on qual setups. The guys that do advance from the qual race will be far more competitive in the race because they have been able to work on their race setup and they already have some race knowledge. The fans would actually get to see RACING on Friday at the RACEtrack. AND if Friday gets rained on, set the top 35 by points and run the qual race on Saturday. The list of benefits goes on and on. Just my 2 cents.  (Jul 7, 2007 | post #3)

I whole-heartedly agree with almost everything you said. The only thing I didn't agree with is that Roush wanted him in the 6. I think Roush gets caught up in trying to find "the next best thing" just as much as everyone else. And Boris definitely has more talent than those other drivers you listed. Unfortunately, the nepotism in NASCAR is tough to overcome. And those mommies and daddies have a loud voice and deep pockets. As my screen-name states, I'm an Alan Kulwicki fan and Boris definitetly fits the underdog mold that Alan laid down. NASCAR has taken the underdogs and dreamers out of the sport. KEEP DIGGIN' BORIS!!!!  (Jul 7, 2007 | post #51)

Unfortunately, I think Boris is a product of 'the new NASCAR' Nowadays, talent doesn't matter, experience doesn't matter, heck, the fans don't even matter as much as marketability. While I know there are a TON of ad campaigns that can be built around Boris, I don't think 'Corporate America' feels the same about a 44 year old hard-working underdog like Boris as they do a 17 year old 'wonder-kid' that has had everything handed his way and already has his foot in the NASCAR garage before he's out of high-school. Okay, I'll get down off of my soap-box now. **WHEW** I would love to see him beating and banging with all the other ol' wheel-men in the Truck Series. Boris and Frankie would be alot of fun to watch in a Roush truck until somebody in the Cup garage opens their damn eyes. GO BORIS!!!!  (Jul 6, 2007 | post #26)

This is what I like to see!!!! I hate it that my man Boris didn't make the show, but I love seeing all the 'converts' out there to the 'religion of Said'. That is awesome that he is making fans out of people even when he's not even on the track. He definitely deserves more credit and exposure than the media and NASCAR world gives him. After wearing my Boris wig at Infineon, I know there are a TON of 'undercover' Said Heads out there. SPREAD THE SAID!!!  (Jul 6, 2007 | post #23)

On the pole

If there is a 'silver lining' in those rain clouds, it is the fact that everyone from the Sirius broadcast of qualifying to SPEED to ESPN made it known that Boris has the ability to make races. All of them recognized the fact that Boris, Frankie and the rest of the No Fear team...all 3 of them...come to the race track loaded for bear. That little operation makes races that multi-million dollar, multi-car, 300 member operations can't. Even though he had a big one taken away today, everyone still knows that the No Fear Ford has made every race it has attempted. Sell more cases, run more races!!!!  (Jul 6, 2007 | post #6)

Boris at Daytona

I'd love to see Boris snag the pole at the beack , too. With 53 cars entered, I'm just hoping he's the fastest of the go or go-homers. The Yates cars can have the front row, as long as Boris is in the show and running on lap 160. I'm sure Frankie and Boris will make some good things happen.  (Jul 5, 2007 | post #3)

Will Hornish be back next year?

LOL Right!!! We should thank him for telling us what our opinions should be and how to be better race fans too.  (Jul 3, 2007 | post #42)
