Nice idea, but ACK! EXPENSIVE! Thanks though. Yup, Lakeview for 4 years now. Good ol' Amish country. We have a wood burner my dad gave us & I've been cutting & stacking the wood myself. BUT it's mostly a no time issue. Ok, money's a big issue too. :-) If only winter could hold off for another year! (Nov 14, 2008 | post #91)
I'm SO hoping for such a day! (sigh) Congratulations on the success of you & your son! Where do you go for a doctor's office? We go to one in Candian Lakes. Our doc listens to me & takes a mother's word when it comes to concerns & opinions about the child. She even stayed late one night to get ahold of a specialist after-hours for us. I don't like such forecasts! Still, I tend to believe mother nature's living forecasters more. It's just that we have yet to get a main heat source in our house this year! Time & money, home time is nearly non-existent for hubby. There's only so much I can physically do. UGH! Cold weather please hold off!!! (Nov 14, 2008 | post #89)
DITTO! Had my first date with my now husband there! Yes, North Wyoming is really going downhill. We moved out of there 4 years ago & that was apparently just in time in that particular neighborhood. (Something about the news reporter standing in your old driveway talking about gang violence & shootings...hmmm.) But but BUT the city council would have you think Wyoming was East Grand Rapids! When we were residents, we thought they were a bunch of folks with too much time on their hands - sitting around making ridiculous ordinances. But anyway, I think they could make it into an interactive museum of the history of theaters & cinnema. But perhaps that would be too innovative & creative.:-( I hope they consider (if it's even possible) relocating the screen & sound system from theater #1. OH the memories... (Nov 14, 2008 | post #68)
I couldn't help it but... woodpeckers... buggers...LOL! Pun intended or not? (Nov 13, 2008 | post #11423)
Actually, that pretty much sums up Michigan weather 8 to 9 months out of the year! How about just answering a few SIMPLE questions... Will we need to pull out the shovel OR the snowblower? Should we get All-Season Radials OR Snow Tires? Should we put snow blades on our wipers? Should we pull out the snow brush/ice scraper or just find a new place to park our car? OR... Should we just pack up & move to FL or AZ? Much simpler! (Nov 13, 2008 | post #40)
Just imagine if you'd complete the look with an entire school girl uniform! hehe (Nov 13, 2008 | post #43)
Morning! Day two on this thread for me. I won't be on as much today - gotta get to work on the sculpture for my little brother's dragon birthday cake. Brattus - I think there should be more threads like yours! ;-) (Nov 13, 2008 | post #11403)
OI! How did that happen? (Nov 12, 2008 | post #97)
That middle-of-night snacking & candy hoarding/sneaking is what my mother is dealing with from my youngest brother (13...yeah we're 21 years apart). It almost seems like an addiction he can't help! Oh I KNOOOOOWWWW about long runs of bad days! My husband keeps saying (about our 6yo ASD son) that he's gonna get kicked out...he's gonna get kicked out! Lately, their biggest concern is how violent he's been getting. He spits on, kicks, & hits other students & faculty. I just had PT conferences tonight...some good news, some bad...but more on that later. (Nov 12, 2008 | post #96)

Some articles I read cause me to say to myself, "Unbelievable !" Then I started viewing the comments to news articles here in topix & some comments cause me to say to myself, "Unbelievable !" (Kinda like that guy in The Princess Bride & how he always said, "Inconceivabl e!") So when I started posting on occasion, I posted as "Unbelievable ". Then finally I decided to register & create the profile, apparently, that name was already registered (or something) so since I was only posting on news articles, I added "News". (I have another screen name for Myspace which has a much deeper meaning.) (Nov 12, 2008 | post #34)
