The conspiracy of half-truths

I am not going to do the math for you but a security CCTV camera running 15 or 30 frames a second is not going to capture an object going 300-500 mph past it's field of view from side to side. It could have if it was not blinking between frames caught part of the aircraft but apparently did not. Don't beleive me video cars going by on the highway straight across the road and play back frame by frame. The human eye/brain interface fills in the blanks so we see the motion.  (Sep 1, 2010 | post #39)

On the Spectrum: Community should collaborate to stop bul...

That is it, teach your childern to punch and kick, draw blood and give no quater! I think every six year old (mentaly of physicaly) should always carry a dirk or a dagger and be ready to use it. Now if your really afraid then get the kids some compact 22 or 25 cal handguns, heck they are under age and what is the worst that could happen?  (Aug 25, 2010 | post #6)

Cynthia, GET OVER IT! For anyone who has to suffer your inane ranting let it go. I seriously thought you were getting better with some of your last opinions, but either you're off your meds or on a down spiral.  (Aug 25, 2010 | post #5)

Personaly I would be more concerned with what goes on behind closed doors at city hall or the BOS. Not someones home life.  (Aug 16, 2010 | post #26)

It's largely our own fault

Yup and it tasted so much better than if you rode up there in mom or dads car and didn't spend your own 'lawn mowing' money for it!  (Aug 15, 2010 | post #14)

Waiting for action

Provocateur, Clippers eh? So should I wire Palidin in SF or Provocateur in SF. Have clippers will travel! Sorry could not resist. Have Clippers will travel, reads the card of a man A knight without armor in a Overgrown land His fast clipper hire, heeds the calling wind A soldier of fortune, is a man called --- Provocateur!  (Aug 15, 2010 | post #22)

It's largely our own fault

"We did not have Play Stations, Nintendos and X-boxes. There were no video games, no 150 channels on cable, no video movies or DVDs, no surround-sound or CDs, no cell phones, no personal computers, no Internet and no chat rooms." Provo that pretty much sums it up, I have not seen my neighbors kids since school got out, not even out in their own yard! Guess that x-box is working. Yup we used to ride/walk our bikes to the top of the hill in the county park and ride headlong down a 3/4 mile trail without helmets or kneepads, get yelled at by the rangers years before Mountain biking was even heard of. We would ride out to the river where my parents friends had a canoe leave our bikes in the woods, hop in the river and paddle 6-8 miles upstream, pull it out on the shore of a park and walk through town for a Dairy Queen ice cream, then drift back to where we started, ride the three miles back home. My interest in electronics lead me to build things, OMG a kid with a hot soldering iron, high voltage electricity and I didn't get killed. We found old lawnmover engines, bartered for the likes of a go-cart or mini-bike from some kid who had a welder for a father and rode them around a field or the bank drive through when it was closed. Heck one year about 65' or so Iron Crosses were a big thing and one kid had one he had bought so we made a plaster mold and were pouring them with wheel weight lead in the back yard. Yup guess I am a surivor.  (Aug 15, 2010 | post #12)
