I'm honestly not too entirely sure if I would rather open or conceal carry though. I haven't gotten my license yet, and I've been debating. I was thinking about going with concealed, because the element of surprise is a strong one. (Apr 23, 2013 | post #7)
I don't think that somebody not believing in your deity constitutes "screwing up." (Apr 12, 2013 | post #8)
I have some pity for heroine users, as it is a real struggle for them to stop, as the withdrawal is sometimes life-threatening. But I feel you on anything else. If you're going to complain about your life, maybe you should try some introspection so you can reach the core of the problem, instead of casting your personal burden on other people. (Apr 9, 2013 | post #3)
Yeah, I'm done with it. You just can't make some people see the world through others' eyes. Eventually the conservative folk will die out and we can move forward with progress. (Apr 9, 2013 | post #46)
Great minds discuss ideas. Average minds discuss events. Small minds discuss people. Some food for thought. (Apr 7, 2013 | post #22)
I was also raised as a Christian child. I was also active in the church for 4-5 years as an teenager. In my experience, I saw no difference in my life, aside from the friendships that I acquired through the church. Other than that, my quality of life had not changed. I started to question why I believed, and now I am where I am today. In my eyes, if there was an omnipotent god, he would make himself bluntly apparent, and he couldn't blame the non-believers for thinking like they do, as he does not present himself through undeniable proof. If you believe, and it improves your life, then by all means, keep doing what you're doing, I'm happy for you. Alas, I see no reason to believe, and I probably never will. (Apr 4, 2013 | post #37)
You call other religions man-made, yet you say you believe in your god and Jesus. What makes you not believe in the Egyptian god Horus? Any of the multiple Greek gods? Odin? Thor? Poseidon? What makes you think those are so make-believe, but yours is the real deal? Don't take this as aggressive, I'm just wanting your comments on your thought process here, because it doesn't make any sense to me. (Apr 4, 2013 | post #35)
Who is doing the thinking for me?" "I'm just living the life that was put in front of me by my forefathers." Please re-read those and tell me that they aren't contradictory. Have you ever just taken a step back and thought, that maybe the way things are now, aren't the ideal? That maybe change would be for the better? But, I'm just going to end my time in this thread with one question. How would two men getting married affect YOU specifically? In what possible manner would it harm you? (Apr 4, 2013 | post #39)
I guess you're right. Can't really change the minds of people that have somebody else thinking for them. (Mar 29, 2013 | post #37)
This is not a matter of opinion, it is a matter of having equal rights for everyoneSeparation of church and state. (Mar 29, 2013 | post #35)
Their marriage does not affect you in ANY way. And what is your moral? Not treating all human beings equally? You make me sick. (Mar 28, 2013 | post #32)
Some pretty strong morals you;ve got there champ, bringing other people misery. Just know as you lay down in bed with your wife, at the same time, a gay man is lying in bed, crying himself to sleep. (Mar 27, 2013 | post #29)
Yeah, and you will eat your words, because it's already starting to be legalized in the states. We'll see who will be talking when all of the conservative folk die out. (Mar 27, 2013 | post #28)
This comment is the epitome of stupidity. You say the guns are your constitutional right, correct? Separation of church and state is in the constitution as well. That means your religion has no right to impose on our laws, aka, GAY MARRIAGEMy parents never touched on the subject. I DID used to be against homosexuality, BUT realized how much of a ridiculous and ignorant asshole I sounded like. A man can love a man as a man can love a woman, and the same goes with females. A person loving the same gender should not be segregated and denied their rights. And the american dream? How does gay marriage have ANYTHING to do with the american dream? (Mar 27, 2013 | post #25)
