Student Massage

Clinical massage were done in a huge room where sheets were put up to serve as the "walls" between. We had anywhere from 20-40 other rooms with nothing between us but sheets. You could hear everything going on and if there was a noisy person, or a phone range, or anything like that it was known by everyone else in the room. Also, going to get student massage can be great. But its a crapshoot. You really cant count on getting what you want the way u want. you might get a great therapist, you might get a dud. You might get a dud, who will be a great therapist some day in the future and just has to practice more  (Feb 17, 2013 | post #3)

Back knots??? Please help

So there seems to be some confusion that i would like to help clear up. Massage does not have to be painful to get results. The more pressure you use, the quicker you will see results. you can have a painful experience and have amazing results after the massage. You can also have a gentle relaxing session which after which you dont seem to really have gotten much benefit. Ideally there is some compromise. You use enough pressure to get the "it hurts so good" feeling interspersed with less pressure for an overall wow i fell really good experience that also helps to alleviate the knots. So, you can either speed up the process with more pressure. Or you can take longer with less pressure. Having him do some stretching before hand would really help to move things along. I would like to point out that your boyfriend can likely adjust his posture/movement patterns to decrease the severity or placement of the knots he seems to regularly be getting  (Feb 17, 2013 | post #36)

Have any women had an orgasm during a massage

Fortunately or Unfortunately depending on your point of view there is a double standard. As a male LMT i enjoy it when a woman gets aroused or has an orgasm on my table. It makes me feel gratified that i have done such a good job to be able to get her to orgasm (through legitimate massage, avoiding her genitals and breasts) It also excites me to see a woman having such pleasure, which just makes me all around in a better mood. Most other male therapists that i have communicated with are of a similar mindset. Most other female therapists i have communicated with do not share this same point of view  (Feb 17, 2013 | post #143)

Over the phone she says......."..........."

Clint51 Also, as a side note, maybe its because you actually posted about how to ask your massage therapist about a happy ending in another post. Maybe thats why...  (Feb 17, 2013 | post #11)

Over the phone she says......."..........."

I think, perhaps, that what led her to believe thats what you were asking, is that you prefaced your question with super long story about getting an erection and asking permission to masturbate that actually had nothing whatsoever to do with your actual question, which is "what does full body mean?"  (Feb 17, 2013 | post #10)

Erection during massage - How to ease my mind before hand

If you are embarrassed about getting erections that seem to frequently happen during massage then you do have at least one option Taking care of yourself before the massage will certainly help prevent getting an erection during the massage. Other than that, or perhaps taking saltpeter or a chastity device. There really isnt a surefire way to prevent getting an erection. Not that i am aware of at least  (Feb 17, 2013 | post #16)

National Health Concept Leader Massage Envy Brings Afford...

in an attempt to contribute to the original topic of this posting, I have the following to add. Massage envy in my experience, generally pays its employees very little. I interviewed at one before posting for firsthand information, and $15 an hour is what i was offered. I would like to point out that I have been working with great references at 2 different places for 10 years. From people i have talked to in my community, the general consensus is that they also treat their employees badly or with little respect. For those that have posted about their positive experiences working for Massage Envy, you appear to be the exception rather than the rule. Massage envy is a franchise, so depending on who is running the place your experiences as an employee will certainly differ. Overall, it appears that Massage Envy does indeed appear to be cheapening the massage industry. This is also a problem because as any legitimate LMT will tell you, a vast majority of the population is not educated about the benefits above and beyond a relaxing experience that massage can provide for them. And for all the people who go to massage envy and now think "this is what massage is" it's a real shame.  (Feb 17, 2013 | post #68)

BN&S Massage and Facial... Touching my breasts - did it c...

a massage of the chest can be to just above the nipple. when i am working on a males chest i will work all around the nipple depending on the reason for the chest to be massage. On a female, i am much more cautious and although technically allowed, from the description you gave it seems to me that she was pushing the boundaries of what is acceptable just a bit due to your obvious enjoyment and arousal. If the woman is more flat chested, she gets a much more thorough chest massage, if she is busty, she gets a much more cautious chest massage. Of course i am a male therapist and prefer to err on the side of caution.  (Feb 17, 2013 | post #35)

Transverse Friction

i use friction to create heat often, and i am very vigorous. I dont think there is a "correct " speed although the slower you go the longer it will take to create the desired amount of heat.  (Feb 16, 2013 | post #2)

Masturbation after massage

I think there is a very clear distinction between a Sexual "massage " and a Sensual massage. Massage needs to be thought of as a bubble, with pure relaxation (Sensual) on one end, and pure theraputic on the other end. Now there are therapists that practice almost exclusively on the theraputic side of the bubble which has its main focus on recovery from health problems/injuries. And has a feel good massage as a secondary focus. Then there are therapists that work almost exclusively on the Sensual side of the bubble. Having as its main focus the pure relaxation of the client and the theraputic aspect as a secondary concern. Most therapists fall somewhere in the middle, wanting to provide a pleasurable experience for their clients while also helping to address any problem areas or concerns the client has. Notice that Sexual massage was not indicated anywhere inside the bubble It is very demeaning when someone comes to me and it is readily apparent that they have no interest or regard for anything healing or wellness minded that i can do for them. And want me to give them a quick rub and tug, or worse, think i am a full on prostitute that is going to "top them" or lick their butthole or any other of various sexual activities I have been asked to do over the years. This doesnt apply exclusively to men either, (even though they are usually the culprit) I have had women ask me to be less an LMT and more a sexual toy as well. There is a difference between appreciating the skills a therapist has worked hard to obtain while receiving a Sensual Massage. And completely disregarding any skill they might have in lieu of using them for your sexual gratification. I think prostitution in all its varied forms should be legalized. Then everyone can readily advertise whatever services they are willing to provide very clearly. Those that want to do medical or sports massage without be bothered by anything genital related can do that. Those that want to include genital massage can do that, and those that have no training and are just some girl that wants set up a jackin shack can do that too.  (Feb 15, 2013 | post #214)

Surgery or chiropractic for chronic sciatica sufferers?

Sciatica is caused by compression of the sciatic nerve most often by the piriformus as it passes between superior gamellus. As an LMT who has worked many years in a chiropractic office i would like to offer the following advice. 1.) Surgery is expensive and should only be a last resort. Surgery is extremely invasive and can never be undone. Chiropractic medicine along with many other alternate forms of health and wellness are both cost affordable and non invasive. This means even if you dont have results that you have spent very little money and have done nothing that is going to haunt you for the rest of your life. 2.) As a Massage therapist i regularly have clients that come to me for chronic sciatica. These patients see me for an hour a few times a month depending on the severity of their symptoms and have found that i can provide them relief for their pain. This is almost always accompanied by regular chiropractic visits as well. Chiropractic care is a safe, noninvasive and an extremely affordable health and wellness measure to take for yourself. 3.) Back surgery is going to run you more than $10,000 on average with only a 33% chance of providing relief. That leaves a 66% chance that you will spend $10,000+ for either no benefit at all, or actually increasing the severity of your pain. (these numbers are being generous btw) The average cost of a chiropractor is $65 per visit, if we round that up to $100 per visit that means you would have to see the chiropractor 100 times before meeting the minimum costs for back surgery. 4.) Always start with the least invasive, least drastic forms of healthcare. Surgery should always be a last resort after you have tried all other viable avenues to stop your pain  (Feb 15, 2013 | post #10)

Non Sexual Penis Massage

Female MT is absolutely correct, there is no such thing as a non-sexual penis massage in America. I suppose an argument could be made for traditional tantric massage, specifically lingam massage as a nonsexual type of penis massage... I feel i need to speak up in defence of LMT. The anger with "favors" and the people that purport this type of "massage " comes from being viewed (at least this is my opinion) as nothing more than an object for sexual gratification. It is terribly demeaning to have someone give no thought to any skill or knowledge that i have, to disregard all the hours of time i spent honing my skills only to be thought of as nothing more than a pair of hands to jerk you off with. That being said, i also dont particularly care one way or the other what anyone else is doing during their massage. If this lady is providing a service that u are happy with then who am i to say you two shouldnt be doing it. I think prostitution should be legalized. Then i can do my certified, trained, and skilled massage. And if anyone wants to do anything else they can advertise for that without there being any confusion or miscommunication. If prostitution was legalized then the people who want theraputic healing massage can easily find the people who provide that service, and the people who want nothing more than a sexual experience can find what they are looking for as well as everything in between. LMT has a legitimate reason to be angry, it sucks when someone thinks that something u care about, and have spent so many hours of time practicing amounts to as much as a handjob.  (Feb 15, 2013 | post #192)

Do Women get aroused during massage?

So after reading this forum for a while, and after having taken some time to compose my thoughts, here are some of my opinions. Please bear in mind that i am attempting to address multiple issues i have read about. I am an LMT who has been working professionally for 10 years. When I provide a medical massage to someone suffering from an injury and I get to see the relief after one session and overall improvement in their health after multiple sessions. Due to injury protocols, myofascial release therapy, or any other useful modalities, it is a genuinely satisfying experience and fills me with joy. When I am providing a "Fluff and Buff" (which is NOT a very accurate description of a Spa Massage designed to imply it has less "Theraputic benefit" and is more a massage designed for pure relaxation and nothing more, for those of you who might not know.) And my client (90% female) gets to relax and enjoy is also gratifying. And when there is an attractive woman (almost every woman falls into this category btw) on my table getting worked on, and i can see her breathing begin to quicken and feel her hands softly and gently contract or rub the table. When her lips part just a little bit and she arches her neck or her back ever so slightly, or when she "helps" open her legs for my hands just that little bit more than might be absolutely neccesssary and i know she is aroused and enjoying the massage. That is also very satisfying. And I occasionally alter the specifics of my massage to further encourage this arousal (Sensual massage). This doesnt mean that because I am providing a more sensual massage to a client that there is no theraputic benefit to the session, on the contrary most sessions include the woman indicating areas of pain or tension that receive more than adequate attention as well as the Sensual aspect of the massage. It is most certainly a valid and needed experience by lots of people.
