Parent of a child with special needs [ Charlotte Pherson ]

I think many parents raising children in another country probably want them to experience a different culture but are worried they may struggle at school because of language difficulties, so they either homeschool or pay privately. http://www.homesch ooling-information .com  (Nov 21, 2009 | post #1)

Bedwetting

need help sleepover!!!

One of the best aids for preventing bed wetting is an alarm watch that either rings or vibrates at set intervals to wake you before you actually bed wet. http://www.how-to- stop-bed-wetting.c om/bed-wetting-ala rm.html  (Oct 10, 2009 | post #59)

Bedwetting

a 15 year old bedwetter should

Steve is right, although wearing a nappy will give you a comfortable and dry night, it won't solve the problem. You should check with your doctor that there is no medical problem and then consider ways to overcome the bedwetting. There is no need to be embarrassed, enuresis is a common problem. http://www.how-to- stop-bed-wetting.c om  (Mar 7, 2009 | post #2)

ADHD

ADHD Study: Should we wait or medicate?

Very often medication is prescribed because there is not enough help available in schools to cope with an ADHD child. Provide help and then medication if it is still needed. http://www.fromtot s2teens.com/ADHD.h tml  (Oct 8, 2008 | post #29)

FOREX-Dollar, yen rise as Lehman sparks risk aversion

Dandruff

Seborrheic dermatitis is dandruff in the extreme

In infants this is commonly called cradle cap. Rub the scalp to gentle loosen the flakes but be careful not to damage the skin as this may cause an infection. Wash frequently with an anti dandruff shampoo. If the condition persists, speak to your doctor - he is the expert. Catching? Of course not. http://www.fromtot s2teens.com/cradle cap.html  (Sep 13, 2008 | post #1)

Eczema

Spring water could 'help treat eczema when applied direct...

An interesting study. Any "natural treatment" for eczema has to be better than some creams available. http://www.fromtot s2teens.com/eczema treatment.html  (Sep 12, 2008 | post #1)

Preschoolers

New games aimed at helping preschoolers learn manners

I think the mother who feels it's "goofy and unnecessary to have a game dedicated to manners" is missing the point. What is being taught are social skills. Many young children arrive at school able to say please and thank you but not necessarily grasping the concept behind it. http://www.fromtot s2teens.com/toddle reducationaltoys.h tml  (Sep 9, 2008 | post #1)

Colic

Go slow on medicating children

Seeing your baby suffering from colic can be quite frightening for a parent. Always check with your doctor that it actually is colic and not something more serious. Many people recommend baby massage as a way to soothe a baby who is suffering. http://www.fromtot s2teens.com/colicm assage.html  (Sep 7, 2008 | post #1)

Dandruff

How I FINALLY stopped my dandruff...

I agree with Josh. I always suffered with dandruff until I started using Head and Shoulders shampoo and conditioner. Now I just use a regular shampoo but if any dandruff appears I switch back to Head and Shoulders. The conditioner worked great on my 3 year old grandchild who still had cradle cap and for head lice on another child. http://www.fromtot s2teens.com/headli ce.html  (Sep 6, 2008 | post #6)

Weird

Parents outraged as school bans cartwheels

Just make it part of the PE lesson wearing decent underwear. Make parents sign a consent form. Does anyone know of a child seriously hurt cartwheeling? In the UK recently there was a case of parents being sued because a child was badly injured when kicked on a trampoline at a party. The award was massive although later overturned by the High Court. People are just scared I guess. http://www.fromtot s2teens.com  (Aug 29, 2008 | post #171)

Ringworm

Ringworm a common skin infection

Don't automatically assume that you are suffering from ringworm. Check with your physician, eczema often looks like ringworm. You should see a physician anyway. http://www.fromtot s2teens.com/eczema .html  (Aug 28, 2008 | post #1)

Bronchitis

Conventional Medical Treatment for Bronchitis

I would be very grateful for any tips on how to get rid of bronchitis. I think mine of more of a really bad cough rather than bronchitis. I've tried steaming, which relieves it but doesn't cure.  (Aug 21, 2008 | post #2)
