McCain coming to Grand Rapids in July
Good you can have my spot, I went to hear him in GR before the primaries and he never showed up. He is really nothing more than another tax and spend, throw open the borders, enviromental nazi like Obama and Clinton. The ONLY thing I feel he has in his favor besides not being a socialist is national security (Obama will systematically dismantle whatever is in place now) and the military (Obama will be devastating to the military and its budget, it will cease to exist under his change policy). I do not hear any belly aching from any of those Honda, Toyota, Hyundai, Nissan, Suburu etc workers or any of them going on strike. My new chevy truck was assembled in Canada. Firstly: To all my fellow posters on this forum, I am very sorry. You see I am responsible for this tax shortage. I gave up smoking, have not bought or sold a home recently, do not own a business, drive my wifes little itty bitty car now to save on gas expenses, and only pay income tax based on my paltry income. If you think it would help I would start smoking again and maybe even start drinking if that would help. I just keep wishing I could do more. (Wednesday May 14 | post #18)

This just in! Confidential Memo fr Jennie to all tax and spend liberal polls in Michigan, We must RAISE taxes at once. Revenues from previous tax increases are not meeting expectations. ONLY answer is to again INCREASE taxes on cigs, beer, business and income. There are still some nitwits that feel we are not taxing them enought. Make it look like we are going after only the rich. This is funny!! On the ride in today I heard on WOOD news that the Smoking Ban legislation is being returned to the House of Reps to be approved after "DRACONIAN " (extremely harsh) changes have been added by the state senate. Let's see they added that the Detroit casinos were not exempt and would have to be smoke free. As I said before let's see if the Detroit Democrates have the guts to do draconian damage to the Detroit casinos. They'll probably try to add language including the Indian casinos which are on sovereign land and as I read it aren't bound by all our laws passed by these idiots. PS I bet their little scrotums just tightened right up when they got that back with the Republican changes addressed at their sacred cow.It's easy to run roughshod over the small business owners that don't donate hugh sums to their cofers let's see if they have to stomach to come down on the big spenders in their back yards. Thanks Greg and your post was right on also IMHO. I go to many different (VFW) posts in the area (SW Mich) and yes there is smoking in the club rooms of many but nothing offensive to me and there are always tables without ashtrays for those not wanting to smoke. Also there are many HD air filtration systems going and newer units appearing now that do a great job of filtering the air. I rarely see anyone smoking during a meeting and most are annouced as no smoking and definitely no drinking during meetings. There will always be someone p*ss**g and moaning though. Those would be the NAZIS. If he would attend a meeting once in a while maybe the higher ups would have taken him more seriously and not laughed at him. Just a thought. (Tuesday May 13 | post #108)

They laughed and ignored you because you are a fruitcake!!!!!Decl ining membership has got nothing to do with smoking, Try this on, the WW2 and Korean vets are **** like flies and the new guys are too busy with families etc to join in big numbers. We discuss this at all Post, District and State meetings that are all NON SMOKING by the way. The VN vets have never been big joiners. Hey Batch I was downtown (Leonard Street Rep Hqtrs) when J McCain was going to be there before the primary and I'm pretty sure Rick Albin was there, of course John McCain never showed up. I think there were more Ron Paul supporters there that night blocking traffic and making asses of themselves. What a bunch of numbnuts.
