Support Wednesday Night

Way to go Frank, you just joined the "hate the police" club. You just had to blame the police for your problems downtown. Nice going. I guess Vallejo likes to use the local police force as "throw down blame" for everything that goes bad. What a great place this Vallejo Calif. Maybe some day real people will do the right thing and stop blaming the cops for "everything ". Losers, all of you.  (Mar 6, 2009 | post #3)

Touro Deal Real?

Well if Touro leaves Vallejo, this will be no surprise. This has happened before many times, in the last 30yrs or further back. Vallejo city council members fight at each other, with Gomes and Shivley the worst offenders, that business leaders see and feel this bad affect. Vallejo has a track record of losing big business with Shivley on city council past and present. Now she has a friend, Gomes, who also makes it very difficult for business to build in Vallejo.  (Mar 6, 2009 | post #10)

Violence continues in Vallejo Calif 2009

At the last council meeting council member Gomes made a public comment that only if the Vallejo Police made a deal two years ago, referring to the recent settlement with VPOA What Gomes did not tell the audience, was that VPOA was ready to settle to a similar deal that was even better for the city, but she voted it down. So once again, Gomes has to get the last word in and as usual, she did not make any sense. What is next? stay tuned  (Mar 5, 2009 | post #1)

Touro Deal Real?

I agree with you on one thing, Vallejo is not the place for business. This city has done nothing for too many years to get rid of or not allow business to come to Vallejo. You can start with Gomes, who was the leader of the coalition to not build the water front. Then while she was in office, Walmart leaves. What a woman.  (Mar 5, 2009 | post #8)

Officer found 'most at fault' in motorcycle-truck collision

Well Mr Perfect world, I shop at Safeway, Target, eat at many restaurants and I have witnessed many ghetto folks, crimes in progress and my wife has been a victim three times, car broken into, someone at a stop light tried to force his way into her car (target shopping center) many fights at the movies (had to leave) and list goes on. You must look like a retard and no one bothers you, or you just blend in with ghetto  (Mar 5, 2009 | post #49)

Make the change

Well said. Tanner needs to go with no buy out money. Tanner has asked "all employees" to take cuts, but he has not cut a dime from himself. Further, you have long term employees who retired i the last 8 months who have not received their buy outs, but yet Tanner has the option for a 6 month buy out, 20 times more than employees who have worked for the city of Vallejo for 15 to 30 plus years. And Gomes and Shively approve of this. They support paying Tanner what will amount to millions of tax dollars for just working in Vallejo Two Years. What does Tanner have on Gomes and Shivley?  (Mar 5, 2009 | post #10)

Very well said and realistic. You are so correct with the fact that there are some nice areas of Vallejo and some not so nice areas. We are what I call a smaller Oakland with no downtown district. This guy from Millerville is living in a fantasy world. We all know the crime that occurs there and it is ugly. Just ask all the victims. We have owned our house for many years and we cannot wait to get out of Vallejo. There are some nice people here, but we seem to run into the ghetto and not so nice ones more often than not.  (Mar 4, 2009 | post #40)

Well sir, when you come home and smoke that green stuff, how can you see anything. YOU LIVE IN A FANTASY WORLD if you think Vallejo is not dangerous or ghetto. Maybe you need to get out more and enjoy the smells of Millerville hahahahahaha  (Mar 4, 2009 | post #23)
